I've had rubbing on the bonnet on my v6. It was fine after Darren fitted it, but rubbed after a.n.other garage had it apart to do the cambelt. I made it clear again (just!) by carefully adjusting the flexible joins. I also added a patch of chemical metal, just in case, where the ally pipework had rubbed down to half thickness.

JDM fitted with cold air kit and filter is £555. Depending on what dump valve you have you would need a flange adaptor. That being the case, a fixed total price of £581.50. Drive in 08:30/09:00 and drive out, job done 16:30.
If you give us your car during week commencing 15 March we can also map your car 20 March with Bob Rawle but as slots are going quickly, both in the workshop and four out of six mapping slots are already gone. We would need to know pretty soon.
You do not need to drive slowly but you should drive with light throttle to stay off boost.
If the pipework is touching the bonnet it is probably a fitting issue. Because we are fitting these all the time we have learned all the little foibles of fitting them and the tricks to get them to fit right first time.
Check the pipe from the core up the front of the timing chest is correctly aligned. You may need to cut a bit out of the fan cowling.
Position the joiner for that pipe to the one that runs to the throttlebody, such that it has 50/50 of each pipe.
When the two pipes are in the joiner ensure they are actually touching.
Adjust the running angle of the pipe to the T.B such as it sits as low as possible.
At that point you should have adequate clearance.
Some people reverse the oil filler stem This should not be necessary but it has been done by some.
I have seen one car where the owner took a heavy hammer to the strengthening brace on the bonnet and "pannel beat" it. Definately not needed if the kit is fitted but I appreciate some people do have little issues as for them it is a one off first time assembly.
Anyone needing advice, just get in touch but in the nain it is down to fitting and being alert to the detail. The pipe that is crucial and where most people go wrong is the one up the front of the timing chest.

Harvey,
Just to say thanks for putting that order together nice and quick, all arrived safe and sound here in NI, no hidden fees simply the cheapest on here without the bull**** statements.
The customer did get a qoute from another trader on here but it was £50 more and the carriage was more to the same destination
Fitting on Friday will let you know how it goes.

I'm looking at purchasing the GT2 kit for my V3 sti type ra, could you please quote for a full kit including cold air feed (if necessary). Sorry to be a pain but the v3 falls under 96 and 97 i'm hoping you'll be able to point me in the right direction.
Many Thanks Russ.

That looks good Justin. Where did the splitter come from and what material is it made from?
Have you got it remapped yet?
Russ : the GT2 is £290 with UK delivery £12.50. Paypal to harveysmith1@btopenworld and it will ship same day.
The New Age comes with an inner wing cold air kit. The Classic kits do not have an induction kit. You can fir a K+N kit such as 57i. What ECU are you running?
