From my POV:
Don't have to drop the oil
Saw reports of decreased oil flow with the sandwich plate, so rather not fuc with that at all.
Far easier working at the top of the engine
Less parts open to the elements which seem to get at the senders so best to have that all inside the bulkhead/up top as much as possible.

I understand you aren’t happy if it doesn’t work but like with any company if something is mail order you pay the postage to return it. And not been in the UK or Europe its different anyway.
If you look at the price these gauges are in the UK you will understand that Xyber are making almost nothing on these after a 15% discount. When I did the last GB Gaugeplace sold them at almost twice the price but they offered a quick replacement if there was a problem. We decided it was worth the risk and no more expensive if you needed replacements. Very few people had problems.
Ask Danny how much 1 replacement gauge would be (if you are sure it is a gauge fault most problems have been the sensor) probably be cheaper/similar price to the postage

I'll probably need a new Gauge as it makes all sorts of daft noises and dosn't sweep the same as the others in the start up sequence

Wouldn't work in what way mate?
Nothing at all or no discount?
I had issues at first because I picked the 3 gauge kit but when I entered the promo code, it added 3 gauges.
Got there in the end though.

I've just logged on and 'bought' 2 gauges, entered the promo and I'm getting the discount.
Daft question, but once you've put your items in the cart and you get to the point to enter the code, you're then hitting the redeem button yeah?

I know to start with I had to add/delete/add things before it accepted.
Ended up at the checkout with 3 separate gauges and the triple pack but after deleting half, it was ok.
Thought it was just me though!!!

The Group guy is for the set of gauges.(but it does work with 2 or more)
Take it up with the OP he should have made it clear.
THE CODE ONLY WORKS ON 2 OR MORE GAUGES NOT JUST 1

Sorry if I misled you mate but, like you, I couldn't see anything that said it was only for 3 gauges. And there are people on the group buy list who are only ordering one gauge.

I did write somewhere here that you need to buy 2 or more gauges...
Anyway.. Here is the Discount code........
Discount code is : oct09_stepperpromo
This will get everyone 15% discount on all the prosport stepper gauges.

rbaz, or anyone. Can I just get clarification on the best location to fit the oil temperature and oil pressure senders (scoobypart kit). Is it below the intercooler on cyclinder no.3 for the oil temperature and below the alternator for the oil pressure? This is for an 05 STi.
A picture would say a thousand words here if anyone has one lying around
Cheers,
J

Here are the 2 locations
Just above the belt tensioner
and an inch across and down from the turbo inlet
If anyone fancies a drive to South Wales I can fit them for you
