Since the OP ScoobTypeR can’t be bothered to help you lot out (hasn’t posted in here for nearly a month) I will try and get things sorted out not fair keeping people waiting. Its not my group buy but he is taking the Pi**

Having problems with my Boost gauge after the last group buy and now have to post it back to Hong Kong (at my expense i may add!) but had problems with the sending it too the correct address via Fedex etc etc.

Just want to point out that these are coming from far far away for those who don't know.

 

Yes they are from abroad a long way away but that’s why they are so cheap e.g no tax
Replacement senders will be cheaper from the UK due to postage.

To be honest i didn't think much about were they were coming from when i did the group buy i was just happy to get them for cheaper...I havn't sent it back yet as Danny has given me 2 addresses and neither of them are recognised by the two big name delivery companys online..i'll have to ring up and sort it that way..more of my time wasted

BUT that dosn't mean i should have to pay extra postage charges for somthing that should work in the first place.Like any company faulty goods should be replaced FOC no matter were they are.

I understand you aren’t happy if it doesn’t work but like with any company if something is mail order you pay the postage to return it. And not been in the UK or Europe its different anyway.
If you look at the price these gauges are in the UK you will understand that Xyber are making almost nothing on these after a 15% discount. When I did the last GB Gaugeplace sold them at almost twice the price but they offered a quick replacement if there was a problem. We decided it was worth the risk and no more expensive if you needed replacements. Very few people had problems.
Ask Danny how much 1 replacement gauge would be (if you are sure it is a gauge fault most problems have been the sensor) probably be cheaper/similar price to the postage

Other than a pod to house these will we need anything else in order to fit these to our cars? I don't want to use a sandwich plate but I know some places sell gauge fitting kits, do we need one of these?

 

I think we'll need this: Scoobyparts Ltd OIL PRESSURE & OIL TEMPERATURE GAUGE FITTING KIT I'm not fitting a sandwich plate.

That kit will do both oil pressure and oil temp. Much better than a sandwich plate imho.

Where do these connect into? Are they into the plug above cylinder 3 and the one under the alternator?

 

The oil pressure part (braided s/steel pipe & adaptor) fits where the o.e Subaru warning light sender goes.
This part allows this to still be used and your gauge sender as well.
The oil temperature adaptor directly replaces the 'bung' above cylinder number 3 and allows you to fit your oil temperature sender for your gauge.
