LOL **** head, I don't care if my car looks the same as someone elses. For me its what it drives like not how unique it looks when parked up outside the local McDonald's chavfest or some BS bling bling show and shine competition.

As for those thinking the "aggressive" look is going to cope on track the car below was on normal wheels and tyres. Get some stretched rubber and some crappy oversize rims and youve got damaged rims at best and in a tyre wall with a fubared car at worst.

For the record some of the cars pictured on this thread do look good. But I would never put anything like that on my car EVER.

Cheers mate.

Attention to detail is that the Marmite love it or hate it sticker and the rubber chicken?

Was a good meet and nice to see good press for the stretched rubber

That's your opinion which is cool but seriously do you need to keep airing your views about poor handling and effecting performance?

I couldn't run this wheel all the time mainly as i'd have no backbone left. The ride is very hard but i'm more for show than go.

Like Budgie who tracks his i'd never drive stupidly hard on these wheels so i couldn't go without the spare set.

You'll no doubt get some guys stretching crap rubber and popping the tyre off as time goes on. All the guys running this setup now have done a lot of research and tbh i can't see someone like budgie throwing a poor setup on his.

Each to their own. I think the RCM inspired graphics are 100x better than the rally graphics but like you said you couldn't drive around on these wheels, i couldn't drive to the shops with full rally graphics when it looks like it should be off road.

Enjoyed viewing the car last night over at Ace Cafe. Yours and Budgie's looked excellent. I'm a native Californian, born and bred, where the bulk of this movement originated. And I can appreciate both sides of the argument.

To Mr. Daz, sir your function over fasion stance is one of contradiction. You say your graphics kit doesn't infringe upon performance, therefore is of no detriment to your argument. I disagree. You had time, and money to spend. As opposed to investing those resources into your car's performance, you chose to burn them on something that would put your car around a track no quicker.

The opportunity to better your vehicle gave way to your desire to increase it's fasion appeal. You may still say it didn't compromise your car's performance, but in essence, it did. Extra performance was there for the taking when those resources were allocated, yet the car was robbed of that opportunity.

Just pitching in.

I've seen it, pal. He makes it well apparent by listing his BHP in his location box, just in case anybody misses it.

I'm a performance oriented bloke myself. Although I could indeed use a bit of jogging...

The graphics haven't cost me a bean.
As for me not spending money on performance, as forger says you really need to do your homework

Nobody questioned your vehicle's performance statistics, mate. A bit jumpy, are we? I made the observation that you had the opportunity to augment that performance even further, but you decided upon a fasion statement. Time is money. Although metaphoric, it's an accepted anecdote. It took awhile to apply those graphics, and somebody somewhere fronted a cost for materials and workmanship in the process.

Instead of seeing all comers as personal attackers, realize some of us are simply illustrating a point that nobody is immune to image-conciousness. Thy holy self included.

And for quota, .

See that's where you're going wrong by making assumptions about being jumpy or paying out money on something that doesn't enhance performance. As I said before the graphics didn't cost me a penny.

You're missing the point entirely it would appear. Paying out for something that doesnt enhance a vehicles performance is one thing but paying for and fitting something that will more than likey ruin the car is something else entirely.

Keep smoking what ever it is that you're smoking mate

saaaake, why is everyone so bitchy?

everyones got an opinion & its a public forum. stop acting like kids we are all here with one thing in common - cant we just appreciate that and say 'each to their own'

If everyone was the same it would be a boring world.

Well said.

Also when someone responds their intention is not one of malice but mearly an opinion.

An immediate 'bite' is not what was intended.

We could start a whole thread about the disapproval of graphics but what's the point each to their own

why does it have to be about performance and handling
just because its a rally bred road replica
some people have lots of performance upgrades but never go on track
others look like rally slags but never go near a moist field
ben's car is the outcome of a years planning and experimenting
i am sure he is happy with the outcome
cause it looks great from the rear whilst rolling
just wait till he gets the track day bug though

btw, nice to meet you Displaced and thanks

Love the rims and really love the car but don't like the two of them together sadly! I think i'd be scared to use them wheels and would add Curb Feelers to my modification list.

I think it looks superb not something id ever do, but superb all the same. As for all the "haters" out there i cannot understand there thinking....they think what they do is the only way and seem to blind to any otherway. Incredible.

I also think that the VW thing is incorrect, because they have been rolling, stretching and rubbing in Japan way before the VW scene came along. Give it some re search.... you might be surprised.
