From: Daily drive is a Scoob again - just what it should be!
I know what I'd like to do to the theiving little *******.....
But then again we can't, it might be against their human rights....
Trouble now is there is no deterrent for the little toerags.

Seems there are some unscrupulous individuals round your area Looie, CCTV might be worth a go, but park you car so the covers can't be seen and see who takes an interest. I wouldn't buy anymore covers if it were me, seems your gonna get ripped off again and again.

From: It's not a Scoob, or even a Skoda, but 200bhp is on the horizon..
Had a couple of PM's from people on SN after I put up a thread on the Wants section this morning, so will see what happens..... not buying "something" to fill the holes left would make the car look friggin awful... see the pictures at the start of this thread to see what I mean..... I don't think i could drive around with the car looking like that all the time - I take too much pride in it to do anything else....
Bad news, I hate having stuff nicked.
Looking at the holes, you could put a car alarm switch on them: UNIVERSAL CUT 2SIZE CAR ALARM DOOR BOOT COURTESY SWITCH on eBay (end time 04-Dec-09 22:17:18 GMT)
Link it to your bonnet switch, and it'll set off the alarm when they are removed.

I thought about this when I took my covers off once , I was amazed at how easy they were to get off (but then I guess that's the idea if they were actually covering any fogs!) I seem to remember thinking it may be possible to fit some cable ties to the back, may need a small hole cut in the black bit behind the air slot , and then pulling the cable ties around the bodywork behind , it should make it hardrer for the little ******* to get them off . Or the other option is to glue some razor blades around the inside edge
Etch 'stolen from your postcode/ numberplate 'on the inside, perhaps may put them off selling them on ebay
