Why should we read a post that's not punctuated properly? If you are going to be a smart **** about english grammer make sure yours is up to par!

I.e. Using big and little letters to construct a sentence.

Cheers, Dougie

as for a swap with a gems, try a swap for some midget gems, thats a square deal

hope this true info helps you understand what garbidge you have got
Its obvious you started a new account to slate the simtek its just a shame your not bigger enough to step up to the plate and slate it in your real username...

Loser!

ANYWAY..

I have an MY00 mate and been looking into/saving for a Simtec.Ideally i just wanted Anti Lag.To be honest JGM does them for somthing like £1100 inc VAT? But then that's mapped to your car so if yours was £600+ then you spend £300 on a MAP your looking at £900 anyway so i'd say somthing like £500 plus a swap for a standard ECU would be a good deal for both parties? Hint Hint Plus i have a MY99 ECU which is better than the MY00...

Better off with a fruity fuel map with EcuTek on a MY00 if you want pops and bangs.

I'm thinking of going Sim Tek in the future, but have not seen the software for it. What program was developed to do the flashing has no bearing on the tecnology of the ECU. MS Dos is just an operating sysem and as I understand it, mapping an ECU involves putting different values into different memory addresses for the processor to look up and use for working out outputs, based on inputs. Why would you need a fancy program written for Vista or other complex operating system when a basic program can do the job perfectly well and probably faster?

Sorry chaps, already posted in For Sale section that after all pm's slagging GEMS and praising Simtek, no longer selling.
All my idea was that if i had GEMS then Richard Bulmer could map as and when, when my car is at Carnetix, as within same building with rollers!
Thought of Hydra but £1500 all inclusive, probably a good price. Anyway Richard does'nt map Simtek so i will stick with JGM who rep speaks for itself. Sorry for starting a riot

Road mapping is clearly superior as it's mapped for real world conditions.

on the rollers is better, safer and legal to top revs in all gears

where can you legally map properly on the road? 6500rpm in 4th, legally, don't think so.
