Had a bit of a disaster with the carbon and need to re-do it. It was too cold and took the resin 7 days to go off and the carbon lifted in a few places doh ! Oh well lesson learnt !
I got the carbon from eBay seller composite_suppliesuk

Well spent the morning finishing off the masking ready for spraying. (note my newly painted garage )

Gets my compressor and gun ready, switches the compressor on and..............
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
nothing, other that a loud hum followed by the reset button clicking out
Got onto machine mart who told me to ring tech help which I did. Anyway top and bottom of it is it has a seized motor (its never been ran whilst I've had it). Its brand new ffs. They told me to return it to the store for a replacement.

At said store, manager (unhelpful t*at) has a quick nose and rings a number only to tell me they can't replace it, it needs to go in for repair.
I told him tech help said I would get a replacement but he didn't want to know  so I have left it with them, god knows when i'll get it back.
So the poor Scoob is on hold again

How long have you had it? Demand a refund and then go and buy another one from somewhere else. Or phone tech help back and get them to authorise the replacement with the store manager.

makes you doesn't it. When was it that it became the seller is always right rather than the customer?

I think if you speak to trading standards or CAB they'll tell you you're entitled to a full refund on faulty goods. Even if you don't have a receipt. Worth giving them a call.

Cheers,
Garage is just a standard double (16.5'x16.5'), and although its big, it never seems quite big enough !! I've got the option of gaining another 8 feet to the rear (where the front of the car is now!) in the future which I most probably will do!

Still no compressor but have been onto consumer advice and a letter has gone to machine mart stating my rights and what they need to do . Also been on to their customer services dept and dropped the store manager in it, so hopefully should have my compressor very soon......

Been pottering with a few bits whilst waiting,

Tinted headlights

Real carbon wrapped wheel caps......

.......with a bit of a logo, hand cut in the masking tape by me and sprayed the colour the car is going
Free m&m if you can guess the colour yet......

Just waiting on the final few coats of laquer to go off before the final buff and polish.
