i got jobbed by some c*?k on sidc for a spoiler , again stupid of me a paid by bank transfer and yes you guessed i never received it , this was back last november and the c*?k still send text message to me now to say he is going to refund me

never send as a gift, if your unsure send a little extra to cover there charges , but to be fair if your selling something on here the seller should bear these charges in mind as most things probably get posted the paid via paypal so this should be included in the price

scoobynet you need to sort something to help the honest sellers and buyers on here

anyway back on track

hope you get sorted mate

i just hate little f**king coward bas**ds that do this sort of s**t hiding behind the safety of a pc screen.

get off your lazy f**king ****, go do a 9-5 like everyone else & earn a honest living.

guess you'd have to be a man to do that though so kinda rules out scumbags like this.

I don't know if it's the same guy.
https://www.scoobynet.com/private-sa...ng-gauges.html
But the man who "sold" me the gauges, his name is Kelvin Bruno.
He joined SN on april 2008.
Nobody knows him ?
Thanks for your help.

Interesting to see who checks profiles !

Might be coincidence ? but I would request the mods look into any connections with Weeebell.

Hi guys i just read all this and makes my blood boil. I feel guilty if my postage is late, and have driven 150 miles to deliver before FOC. To see someone having the ordasity to take peoples hard earnt cash with no trace of guilt is sickening. Would love to see him on the news at 10.

I tried looking on FB for what it was worth. I also thought it would be a good idea to look at PO30 1YG on google street maps and do a virtual walk through down the road to see if i could spot any impreza's but its not been street mapped yet.

Good luck with this guys, should Karma find him please video it LOL!

have to add that i have emailed the addministrators about this, as has coops, and i haven't heard a damn thing from them which is pretty slack. they could have at least posted on here advice about what to do next, or something.

it really is a shame we dont know who this guy is or where he is, otherwise we could give karma a helping hand, and foot, straight in his head

Do the admins have any IP information from when Steve Tease posted?

I got arrested a while back for stealing a bike, I bought it from a chap, who bought it from a chap............................... who stole it at knife point.

Basically the police were less than useless until I presented them with every piece of data I could lay my hands on, printouts of forum posts etc etc etc.

if we could get an IP at least we could trace it a few hops and see roughly where he is, I've got a few contacts within ISPs who could dig a little bit too.

oh, I just noticed I've got like 1 post on this forum too, selling something.

But I'm legit, Alyn at ASP will vouch for me, i'm the lad constantly braking my B4.

I have been trying to get hold of the admin team and I think they are a waste of time and space, have had nothing at all, not even a pm saying they would look into it. Can you not get some sort of software that tells you there IP address? We could then trace him down from sites visited or get an area and narrow it down on the electoral roll, maybe even facebook..

Its a real shame the forum administrators are taking this seriously. Coming from the VW scene, for over ten years, I was an everyday user on a well known VW forum. When we had similar problems on there with c*** sellers, the administrators bent over backwards to help those who got stung out. Passing on IP address and as much information about the user as possible, informing the police, setting up a BEWARE sticky thread.

What they also did was when you wanted to post a forsale ad, you had to have your location, telephone number, a price and a full name, if it didnt contain all of those then the ad got removed within minutes. Oh and i believe another forum set up that you could do a forsale ad without at least ten off topic posts.

Its doubtful a scoobynet paypal account is feasable with the amount of work that would involve especially if things went wrong in a more legtimate sense. It would require almost constant monitoring and support...lets face it, its a free forum, that aint gonna happen and thats not being negative towards the administrators but in reality it wouldnt work. A bit like communism

Just ask for phone numbers, get complete address, pictures, and never send Paypal as a GIFT unless you know the guy/gal and any question marks, dont purchase. I always facebook an email address of someone im buying from just to check location/picture etc and most of the world has a facebook page now. We all want stuff for cheap, and we all want to sell our old bits, i guess we all just have to be ultra savvy. Ive been stung before, and recently been stung on here for a Walbro fuel pump, it happens and thats unfortunately part of the risk we take.

As for IP address, if you have someone who works for a telecommunications company then the ISP will help big time, but you cant just ring up a broadband operator and say i have this ip address, whose is it? its the whole data protection act....

Really, you need to get as much info from the administrators on his as possible. In there would be some clues...possibly the email address he registered with, then facebook that?

As a long time SNer who has bought & sold via SN, I don't like somebody ripping members off as much as the next guy.

I wouldn't pin your hopes on getting an IP address. I can post on SN from the UK yet my traffic can appear from an IP address hundreds of miles away - taking it to an extreme, I could post via Australia yet be sat in London. Also, don't forget that IPs can be dynamically assigned, so there's little you can find out about a user that way.

Mod's aren't allowed to disclose things like IP addresses, emails and other private information from a user profile.

Going through PayPal and the Police would seem to be the best options at present.

They are, but only to the Police if asked to do so in the course of a criminal investigation, which only goes to show how important it is that everyone who's been stiffed by this utter w@nker reports the theft/fraud officially.

You say scooby_pru refused you a refund, so what was his explanation for your goods not arriving? Did he ever give you a tracking number for DHL or whoever?

anymore questions ......................

Originally by Lord'Ham
At which address did you send the gauges ?
I did not give you any address.

Originally by scooby bru
It's only like Tuesday as soon as the package is picked up by the courier and they hand over the paper work I will then have the tracking number before then there's nothing to track. As soon as it in their hands I'll forward the relevant details to you. It's only 1.5 days into the week yet it wont happen overnight.

Hi,
Do you have some news for me ?
Like the tracking number ?

I go back home in about one hour.
Keep me updated if It is still ok for the transaction.

shipping price via ups is £113.02 GBP. I would recommend using DHL as stated previously, the total with shipping would come to £528.85 thats £430 +£98.85 shipping .
Originally by Lord'Ham
Could you please ask for the price with UPS ?
With DHL shipping costs what is your total price ?

Originally by scooby bru
yes DHL provide online tracking

Originally by Lord'Ham
Is there a tracking number with the UK postage ?

Originally by scooby bru
Postage is £98.85 via DHL (DHL UK -> Tariff & Transit Time Guide) normally within the UK postage is £7.50 only. Considering this I can do them for £430 and you sort out the courier costs. The gauges retail for £289 complete each and are the Top of the line spec that Greddy do.
Originally by Lord'Ham
Hi mate,
Is it your last price ?
I'm from Reunion Island, so the shipping costs will be higher.
Could you please, see how much it would cost to ship it to me and give me a final price ?

Regards

Since you say he refused a refund, presumably that must mean he's responding to emails? Or did you just try to request it through Paypal, and get a system-generated response? If he is answering emails, then you should at least be able to ask for a tracking number.

It's not a system-generated response.
It's noticed that he refused the refund.
I've already tried to ask him for news or tracking number,
but he never answered.
On June the 15th he edited the thread and added "sold" on the thread. (2 months after the transaction.
When I saw that I asked him for a tracking number, but he never answered...
