If a T20, then you DO NOT need the inlet manifold raising BUT if yours is a 2.5Ltr model it may do to fit the greater 76mm diameter Turbo inlet pipe.

IIRC T25's have already been raised and have 76mm Turbo inlet pipe

IMHO

Yes - a 2.0l and 2.5l version at the very least, and possibly 76mm and 52mm inlet versions too (think those sizes are right!)

No orders, just pre-orders.

"A bit more than an MD555, but competitive" is what I was told.

There will definately be at least two version a T20 for 2.0ltr and a T25 for 2.5ltr.

i can assume that they could tweak one accomedate for a "Bespoke" output

Not sure, as they are in the final tests before going into production (1-2 months left of testing) I'd like to know spec and price before ordering, some will just order it

I did ask Iain Saturday but he wouldn't give me a "Quoted price" untill the final production spec and costs are confirmed. IMHO

But IIRC he was aiming for a rough ballpark figure of £1500-1600ish for 2.0ltr Turbo AFAIRC

Tony

cheers Tim and cheers Tony
obviously makes sense there will be a T20 and T25 version, i suppose this co-incides with the MD321h and 'T' applications. i just thought they may do...say.... more than one size/power rating for the engine size as the Litchfield website says it will be for 380 - 500bp which is quite a big margin for one turbo.

I really fancy this 'bolt on' for my 2003 Spec C that has already got the old litchfield/powerstation 'type 20' engine and chasis packages. It only seems natural to get the new twin scroll as well as it's part of the set -if you catch my drift.
£1600 does sound excessive for one item though,,, - perhaps this could include fitting or ecutek map as well

any chance of a group buy Iain??

Andrew

donT quote me as I may of got this wrong but from what I know there will be different models, for the 2.0 and 2.5 as well as entry points eg 400, 450, 500 as the turbo will be rated from 400-500 bhp aplications and will range from 150-300 difference as the turbo will use different housing etc.

If you have any questions about the Turbo just drop me a line or pick up the phone, much better than trustings Tony's old mind We are currently testing some of the main specs but there will be many options available. There are over 72 possible variations (6 compressor wheels, ported shroud versus non-ported shroud, two air ratio options and three inlet sizes) and that’s just the compressor side!! The testing is to set some benchmarks so we can make more informed decisions

I had a meeting about it on Monday and we “expect” the price to be £1,495+vat for the most common versions and a little more if we add extras like Ported Shroud etc.

Based on the expected turbo price, known injector price and a typical remap price that is:

£1500 - turbo
£550 - remap
£475 - injectors

total £2909.50 inc vat and plus fitting. Sounds pretty good value to me!

Allowing £90.50 for fitting sounds stupidly reasonable to me!

Litchfield's must have one of the those "customer biased" calculators when working out their prices! I heard they exist, but thought they were an old wifes tale!

Sounds good, I'll be interested in fitting and mapping one of these on my own car. I'm intrigued to know how it will perform.

Saw Iain at his place yesterday ... very nice .. and I was impressed.

The full production version of the turbo(s) is/are very, very close.

Iain is just waiting for a newly machined exhaust housings .. if you look at the picture you'll see where the exit is cut and then welded at an angle to fit .. the final version will be smooth with no cutting and welding .. and Iain reckons it will add another 5bhp.

Incidentally, Iain had just come back from having the expected 420bhp 2.0ltr version on the rollers when I saw him .... 440 bhp !! That was on a MY08 JDM STi with 800cc injectors, uprated inlet pipe and CAI kit I think.

Anyway .. I am sure Iain will post up / contact people when the time is right with all the correct details.
