but one point, move Benayoun behind Torres, put Riera on the left (not sure why he was not playing on Sunday - injury can only be the reason) and put SG back into midfield. Simples.

If you had mentioned Babel instead of Voronin then I would understand. He didnt seem interested to me, that from someone who moans about not being picked.
Is spot on.

I think he rested Riera having played for Spain (and scored a corker) midweek. Riera is a good left footer, intelligent, strong in the tackle and has the 'never give up' attitude - everything Babel doesn't have, especially the intelligence. Torres also played midweek and it showed in his energy levels.

Rooney played midweek and was a beast on Sunday..... Torres is definitely a bit of a wimp.

Don't understand that? When does Torres track back to tackle? Rooney does it all the time...

I hope i'm wrong and mad.
Liverpool are an unstable club at the moment. The yanks are saying there is no money for new players. Rafa says he needs defensive cover. there is talk of a loan signing!!
The team that come second in the league needs to borrow players!!
i'm properly baffled

Even Mr Ferguson made the comment that in some games Berbatov has covered more distance than Rooney

why do you need to track back as a striker ?

great result for reds, technically 2 points better off than on last years results.

Chris, suggested playing benayoun and dropping lazy ****** Babel.

The whole team must of had a kick up the @rse.
Lucas played well and yes this is the first time ever i've said something positive about him.
The whole team played well. Gerrard was brilliant. Torres is no way a wimp.
Ayala played well too.

watched the game on lfc.tv tonight, johnson down the right was awesome and deserved the man of the match. great capture from rafa.

must have watched SG do that move for the third goal about 20 times now, just world class.

think we have riera back now, which means if need be riera on the left, kuyt behind torres, SG in midfield and benni down the right.

Johnson problem's isn't going forward,it's defending. That's the reason why Jose Mourinho never played him when he was at Chelsea because Mourinho didn't trust him

just off to catch a flight to Melbourne, I'll revisit this thread later, Liverpool were the last team in an acca I had from the weekend, glad I covered my **** by backing Villa at 4/1

Spurs fans must now realise they only beat a ordinary side on day 1.....

If the blonde guy who looks like Petit is the best you can bring on then it's going to be a long season for red scouse. Clearly lacking stength in depth.

Red scouse fans leaving early with their heads bowed.....is there a finer sight in football.

From this evidence I don't think they will form part of the big four this year. I'd bet Man City replace them.

Our depth is meagre.
a very poor display.
Voronin? Babel?
A long season it could be.
