With Rooney out what is the plan Saturday?

Shut up shop and lock Chelski out?

A draw would be a good result. I'd think a Chelsea win hands them the league as the GD would effectively give them 3 points advantage.

Rooney looked off the pace and out of sorts all night - can't help but wonder if his knee issue is worse than they are letting on , even before whatever he's done to his ankle.

Poor performance all round really (feckin gary neville gets on my ****...) except perhaps VDS despite shipping two goals.

I dont think Rooney was off the pace. He was getting **** all service or help which made him look like he had a bad game! We were p!ss poor, thats all you can say. I think against Chelsea we should give Diouf or Macheda a go, at least they will give 100% to prove themselves

A bad first half but looked a lot better in the second, some big decisions went against us at key times. That's football and we've benefited from a few ourselves. Well done Chelsea it's in your hands now.

I don't think he'll start on Wednesday - and even if he's fit I still don't think the should risk it
Keep him for the remainder of the premiership games
**** the world cup too - in the nicest possible way
I reckon we can win on Wednesday too

LOL Anfield, if Liverpool cant beat Birmingham how are they going to beat a Chelsea team concentrating on the EPL. United wont get 6 points from Spurs and City either.

Done and dusted in my opinion, you win the league over a season and we have coughed and spluttered our way through this one with no real cohesion and lets add no team has ever won an EPL with 7 defeats, Chelsea deserve it over the season we would have been lucky winners had we squeezed it, shame as it would have been nice to take 4 on the spin and make history. Oh well we can start again next season

Remind me how your lot got on at St. Andrews?

2 games lost at Anfield in the Premiership this season, same as yours at OT - not that funny is it?

Mind you, I don't mind us rolling over at Anfield for the greater good

I would fully agree that Liverpool not qualifying for the CL is for the greater good, United will win a 19th title in the next few years IMO.

Man City not being in the CL has been a major hurdle for them and the players that they could sign, knowing they have CL football they will be able to attract the best and that's a worry for a United fan never mind Liverpool. It would be hard for Liverpool to gain that place back IMO.

Ideally Spurs will qualify and LIverpool will still have a chance of qualifying come the game with Chelsea.

1-1 just like yourselves, and we couldn't beat Chelsea

Still we managed to beat Birmingham at home so it wasn't all that bad and our tilt at the Premiership is still going with 5 matches to play (albeit a very slim one), at least it wasn't over after the first 5
