The ECU layout changed after 1996, no space for a chip unfortuately.

Got my chip in post this morning, thanks. Picking up td05 in hour, then fitting with exhaust and headers in next few weeks. Will post my results here (had a dyno graph done 2 wks ago as standard) when fitted and re-dyno'd.
Thanks again. Bugs - 94 WRX wagon

Major S

Can i jump on this chip train...my 96 wagon would really benefit as i'm just in the zone for engine modding ie.. just brought exhaust in haywood and scott group buy...not had mine on the dyno but it was rumored to have the 240hp prodive ecu upgrade from the factory along with other factory extras like wheels and suspension upgrades..the 240 hp could be bull**** either way this chip will hopefully see it right...

am i still in the hunt for a chip ? if so...what info do you need from me?

BUY BUY BUY BUY ONE if there any left as you wont get this much improvement/BHP anywhere for £100

I'm chuffed for you, Steve. It's really nice to hear back from people when the chips have made such a difference.

The code has gone through a number of revisions since the original collaborations and is now a separate entity altogether.

The maps are probably similar as they derive from the same code. However, there have been revisions (likely to both).

Is there a specific question you need answered bud? I'll try and answer if I can.
