We won't fit a switch as we don't recommend it. Up to you afterwards of course, easy to do. PM me if you want to go ahead.

Hello I'm searching a woy to change ma td05 to td04. Could you give me a chip for this??
Would the 90degree Td04 perform similar to the 1997 standart td04 with straight input?

Hi I'm new to this but I have fitted a scoobyecu daughter board to my standard u8 main board after having to fit a plug to the board first, the picture at the top of this thread looks like an eclipse chip and nothing like my scoobyecu so I'm a bit confused on that, also if anyone can help, I had a dyno done yesterday and its reporting heavy engine det and lean fuelling even thoe fuel pressure is good I've only heard good reports about scoobyecu so what could be wrong? Any input would be great thanks guys

I think you're getting confused as to what is or is not a 'ScoobyECU'.
The chips that I have supplied via this thread are known as ScoobyECU. The daughter boards that hold 2 separate chips that plug into the socket are something else entirely although any of these solutions can be flashed with the same maps.
Mine, Eclipse, Polar Performance, they're all the same Fujitsu EPROMS, just slightly different maps.
Could be any map currently flashed to your daughter board. Did you reconnect the resistor and run the car on the dyno again to see if the stock map was OK? I really wouldn't recommend driving on boost until you get this problem rectified.

Oh ok I think I get it, so the board I have fitted is off a trusted seller and tells me it's a genuine "scoobyecu" it's the red board with the two chips you have described. I came on here and seen good reports about them so I bought it.
But am I right in thinking (by what your telling me) that the reviews are not worth anything as the chips can have anything on them? I also have one of those Fujitsu chips but no idea what is on it, could be one of yours for all I know. My next plan was to put a switch in place of j1, take it back for dyno with that Fujitsu chip and just try all of it lol. I'm just disappointed as I thought the "scoobyecu" was the *****. If all fails I will be happy to purchase this chip off you if you tell me it will suit my car.

The chips can be reflashed with whatever map you want. Either the Fujitsu chip or the daughter board with the twin chips could have any old map on them. Difficult to tell.
Good plan with the switch. Run the stock ECU map on the dyno and ensure your car doesn't have any issues. Then try the Fujitsu.
If you're not happy with either of your maps, you could send the Fujitsu chip to me and I can reflash with the map that I've been supplying via this thread.

The name 'ScoobyECU' was then adopted by the community to refer to pretty much any thing (rightly or wrongly) that fitted into the spare 28 Pin DIL slot on the Pre96' ECU.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I haven't had time for the dyno just yet but I have put a switch in place of j1, as this is my daily driver I'm wanting safety as a priority, my car is a 95 wrx fairly standard, full decat from the turbo, baileys d/v, piper x induction, td05, the engine is the ej20 and is not closed that's it as far as I know, without doing the dyno is it safe to just run the standard u8 ecu ? Am I benefiting at all? And am I right in assuming by connecting the j1 (via switch) it will ignore the daughter board ? I've also been told that the engine detonation at high revs can be helped with a bigger intercooler ?? What's your thoughts on this.
Thanks in advance from a rather desperate scooby owner :/

Ultimately I do want to run the daughter board as its quite an aggressive map (that's what the dyno guys tell me) and its definitely fun when I'm using it but this det is even with telco 99 in it which is far from me so I'm planning on using 97 super ASAP
Thanks again
Thanks again

Well, that's me told That's what I get for an assumption.
Yes, reconnection of J1 will ignore whatever's in the socket. As for the intercooler, any decrease in intake temps is a good thing. However, it's no substitute for correct mapping. The stock ECU (as long as boost is stable and stock) will be fine. Just watch for boost creep using a decat.
If you're getting detonation with Momentum99 then you oughtn't to be using 97RON...
