Well that was pretty quick and painless. All done and working fine. Took a little while to activate which I wasn't expecting but got there in the end.

Jack,
On the subject of Bluetooth, does it have anything in regards to file transfer? Someone over here reckons it'll support file transfer and I'm pretty sure it does not, the Apple page states it has more connectivity with BT devices, but doesn't mention file transfer, as I thought they explicitly disabled that probably to prevent apps being copied onto it.

That's good and I also like that the recent call list now tells you which number your contacts used

i had to have a serious word with myself there. here's me thinking how sad all you iphone geeks are out there, waiting on a new update when in fact i actually had to join a forum, post a minimum of 10 messages (pure crap btw) before i could PM someone, and them wait while some kind soul in belfast posted me a download link to the new Blackberry 5.0.100 beta OS, download the OS, backup my phone, install the new OS, wait 40minutes for it to install, only to have 3 of my applications fail to operate with the new OS. no facebook, no MSN messenger and no Viigo
so it is true. I am as geeky as you apple boys.

The compass is hardware, included in the 3Gs. Tethering is in Settings | Network, takes you to an O2 web site where you'll be bent over and shafted.
