The BBC's F1 coverage.
Looks like the BBC have been listening to you CrisPDuK

Try David "I'm an aging old **** who raced in F1, but that was back in '74, I've also done Le Mans doncha know!" Hobbs on the Speed channel. Trust me, this aging ***** is, well, a *****, and I loathe having to watch F1 coverage as they have him and some others commentating on it, rather than using the ITV/BBC feed that TSN uses.
Alas I've not seen the GP today, TSN thought it was better to show the effing Tennis, which I have about as much interest in as shaving my *****, so I'm waiting for the torrent to appear on thebox.bz

I have to say that I prefer the BBC coverage in general. I think that James Allen was a better commentator than Legard who comes out with the odd peculiar statement and is sometimes a bit behind the race. Thank goodness that Louise Goodman did not come across from ITV, her replacement is a good presenter with a far more sensible attitude. I used to imagine people running away down the pit lane when Louise hove into sight!
I can't see what Ted Kravitz does wrong-he gets the information well enough, what more do you want? Jordan is not that good, the stand in that they had for one race was far better. DC and Martin Brundle are very good in all respects.
It was an unexciting race I agree, that happens and it depends to a great degree on the track type and conditions. I personally still find it interesting nevertheless since I am also interested in the strategies and how developments during the race affect the end result. We all like wheel to wheel racing but have to accept that there are times when that is just not going to happen. I still enjoy watching the pinnacle of the sport.

I was sceptical regarding the BBC taking over the F1 coverage. I expected them to have very little coverage before the race, and end minutes after the race ended.
Well done though. The coverage is even better than ITV's. Jake Humphreys is a very good Anchor for the programme. I find he's a great communicator. Interacts with DC very well, and has come up with quite a few funny lines/comments over the season.
JLegard isn't quite as good as James Allen (Whom I liked) but even so, he's doing quite a good job. Must be hard talking non-stop for an Hour and a half.
It's nice watching it without adverts too.

Brundle doesn't find it difficult and as much as didn't like the guy, James Allen was 10 times better than Leggard. If you are truely interested in the sport and have a sound understanding of what is going on, talking about it shouldn't be hard should it. And you shouldn't have to keep on comparing Button to Schumacher for **** sake. (heard him say this atleast 5 times over the weekend
)As for the BBC coverage, I love the live feeds that we get for all 3 practice sessions as well being able to choose an onboard camera for the race. And even though Eddie Jordan annoyed the hell out of me for the first few races, I actually quite the like the guy now. Him, DC and Jake work very well together and add a bit of 'bloke camaraderie' to the show, something it desperately needed.
