Unhappy The BBC's F1 coverage.

It is nice that they can squander all that airtime on a bunch of ***** talking complete bollox either side of the actual procession than they can afford to spare on MotoGP races in total

Good to see my licence fee being put to such good use

I think its all about paying for the rights to the races too, not just the airtime.

I like the coverage

Coverage is great. If you don't like it don't watch it.

It's not that I don't like F1, which I don't

I gave it a try today for the first time in about three years, and got bored after about half an hour, I thought it was supposed to be about racing, not who can employ the fastest tyre fitters & petrol pump attendants

What it is about is that I do like MotoGP, and unfortunately the p!ss poor coverage provided by the BBC is all that is available this year

They don't even provide enough airtime for the podium presentation any more

I enjoy the coverage (if not always the races), I was worried the bbc would go all "bbc" on it when they took over as ITV had actually gotten quite slick with it but I think they're doing a good job.

When they said that Ted the tool was coming over and not Louise Goodman, I was very surprised but Lee McKenzie is great in the filler pieces as well as at the track.

I like the coverage, too.

I just wish they would get rid of Jonathan Legard. He is a total bell end and talks $h1te. He's almost as bad as The **** himself, James Allen (but not quite!)

Seeing as today's race was won on the track and not by pit stops, that's just a cheap shot based on a lack of understanding, IMHO.

So are you blaming the BBC of the fact it was a boring race?

If you want to see the podium celebrations on motogp press the red button.

If motogp got the same viewing figures as F1, then it would get more airtime, simple.

I think DC is great, his exchange with Jenson today was excellent
Eddie J, needs to go do one, still harping on about who he did and didnt want driving for him in the day.
As for the rest, seems a good bunch, so im happy.

First season I have watched every race without fail. (not a die hard fan lol)

I have to say I think the racing this season is excellent too, lovely to see an upside down field out there, and great to see all the podium finishers at the end of each race acting like a bunch of mates just finished a good fun race, rather than a bunch of ego filled diva's parading about and making sure their watch and sunglasses are as the sponsor would insist lol

DC and EJ make it more enjoyable imo.

Eddie's lack of keeping his foot out his mouth is fantastic and David is a general pleasant guy.

Agreed! I'm finding him very annoying as well! Think he's gods-gift to F1 commentry, but just doesn't know as much as he likes to think.

Otherwise I think the coverage is excellent! Great that Brundle made it over, and DC is doing a very good job as well I think - and comes out with some pretty witty remarks! EJ can get a bit annoying, but generally he's pretty funny and like the way DC often pokes fun at him (which he takes well!)

Was hoping they would replace Louise Goodman with some little fitty, but now I'm thinking maybe a good thing they haven't, as otherwise everytime she came on screen my mind would just run wild and I'd lose track of what was going on in the race

Try David "I'm an aging old **** who raced in F1, but that was back in '74, I've also done Le Mans doncha know!" Hobbs on the Speed channel. Trust me, this aging ***** is, well, a *****, and I loathe having to watch F1 coverage as they have him and some others commentating on it, rather than using the ITV/BBC feed that TSN uses.

Alas I've not seen the GP today, TSN thought it was better to show the effing Tennis, which I have about as much interest in as shaving my *****, so I'm waiting for the torrent to appear on thebox.bz

I think their coverage is really good. But being a Mclaren fan I'm finding the racs boring (Not the BBCs fault just Mclaren doing a bad job), but I'm pleased to see Jenson doing the business
But EJ is really getting on my ****. Why is he trying to make out everyone in F1 at sometime worked for him?
They shouldve' got Eddie Irvine. EI and DC hate each other and Irvine wouldv'e told it exactly as HE thought it.
The BBC probably wouldve' ended up having to get rid of him in case the poison dwarf got upset and threatened their contract - wouldv'e been fun in the meantime!

The race today was absolutely terrible. I defy any TV comoany in the world to make it exciting and as you can guess from my username I am a life long devoted fan of the sport. Lord knows what the casual viewer must think!

Jonathan Legard, complete and utter c**k, talks over everyone else, usually complete twaddle!!!!

Rest of it's fine.

No I'm not blaming the BBC for it being a boring race, the blame for that lies squarely at the feet of Max & Bernie, what my complaint is about is the amount of airtime it is afforded either side of the race

Plus, if the BBC actually let people know that they had the MotoGP coverage, the veiwing figures might increase

Eh? She's fit and way fitter than LG.

And she got KR to give the most verbose interview I've ever heard so can do the job too.

That complete interview was excellent, Jenson commenting that he first wanted to say he was still trying to get used to DC standing there with a mic, and thanking him for the cool jacket.

Bonehead "But EJ is really getting on my ****. Why is he trying to make out everyone in F1 at sometime worked for him?"
Ditto mate, thats the sort of comment I meant. Just bangs on and on about it
I think DC on the other hand, given his experience and time in the sport, and that he only stopped racing last season, it really quite humble about it all

Sounds like the OP is just bitter that MotoGP isnt being covered as much as he would like. The fact is F1 is a billion times more popular than MotoGP and therefore will have more coverage.

I like drag racing but i dont expect it to get more coverage than MotoGP.

I'm not bitter, so much as disillusioned. The BBC finally get their way with exclusive coverage, and what do they do?

Not bother, that's what

Enjoy the championship next season btw
