Shawy,

A couple of questions if I may?

1. Are you only controlling the boost on two cylinders?
2. Its hard to tell from the pic - where the 4 pipes meet the the (T4?) flange are they seperated left and right flush with the flange surface. By this I mean the two lefthand pipes and two right hand pipes cannot exchange gases because they are seperated right up to the turbo?

Hope that make sense.

Peter - sorry for the thread hijack.

By the looks of it it's similar to mine in that the wastegate take off vents from the collector ie from all four cylinders.

Where there is separation at the collector it would indicate a twin scroll set up which would ideally require two wastegates such as the zen TA car and Lateral's "Banana" which use two 38mm wastegates.

Ah soz - thought it was a twin scroll - soz shawy,

Skullfudge bought one of theses front mount set ups - unfortunately he fitted back to front, so the turbo sits where the ashtray used to reside

Shawy,

Ignore my post - I got confused and thought you were going twin scroll. Im sure it will work as it is on single scroll.

Shawy...

At least it will be interesting to compare it with my TS set up in terms of spool up and power.
Looking forward to see your getting finished as both will be 2.5 and T04Z

Yeah there pretty much the same set up .
What fuel are you running it on and which cams are you using .
i have the cossy cams and the 07 sti heads avcs , and should be running
e85 if the injectors can handle it. i,ll probably be running a little less boost than you , well most of the time

i am so glad i can laugh about it now, i was realy pi55ed last year with all my failures. hopfully this year it will be a different story. different engine, different turbo, different gearbox, different power figure. getting mapped next week on e85 so should see the sharp side of 450 .

how is yours steve, i dont expect you to discuss what your problem was but is it all sorted now and running, hope all is well

PMSL yeah my best times have only been 11.9, that must be my limit as I had 450bhp with the same turbo and setup and only managed an 11.9 with 112mph terminal. Now that I have more power I do an 11.9 with 127mph terminals. It shows the car can do more but the driver errr

At 30-130 I will be happy just to get the time you got last year
