You've come on tarring Subaru drivings by pretty much saying that idiots only buy Subaru's, as Moley said every marque has their share too. You made your point but badly and snetters made you aware of this, i can see why your upset due to your son nearly being cleaned up. You've come on this forum and almost accused all of us of driving like this. You should have said "there is some idiots driving powerful cars these days, one was a white newage scooby hope it was none of you as this gives us a bad name"
Spot on.

Yesterday i saw an young bloke in a Golf driving like a tit.
I didn't think however:
a) Sad day for Volkswagon
b) Lets put a thread on the VW owners club complaining about it

FWIW i know it is popluar to moan and bitch about Subaru's getting cheap and being bought by 'the wrong kind of person', but the majority of quotes we turn down at work (too young, no experience, crap risk etc...) are actually for Evo's and E36 M3's

Evo 5's can be had for £4k now (tatty examples) and they are now the cars the chavs (hate to use that word) and youngsters are now after.

(That being said i have been looking at Evo 5's myself, but i don't think i fall into that catagory..... well i hope not anyway)

Its always down to the person, usualy in early, mid twenties but obviously not all. I just changed from a 330CI BMW to a STI. I take great pleasure in driving slowly, even more so when being hasseled by an idiot trying to get me to race him. I know my car is faster, he knows my car is faster so why ewaste my time, fuel of some poor persons life? If you want to race, take it to the track!

you had to probably be there to see how bad it was, but if you start a post you should expect a few different views and opinions.

I see alot of older (classic scoobs) with young nippers drivers around Southampton, either with their hood up or wearing a wooly hat ,even a tea cosy hat, with a massive 10 inch drainpipe coming out the back. They always have that silly dump valve hissing every time they change gear.

Sadsville.

Are we starting to judge people by the size of their exhaust now?

And the noise their engine makes?

As well as their choice in clothes, age and car?

What is this world coming to!

Personally I love the sound of a dump valve and I think a bigger tail pipe sets off an Impreza.... Although I don't think wearing hoods whilst driving is particularly clever.. and those hats are not to my liking..

I think the thing to judge is the way these individuals drive - not to create stereotypes, surely?

Right,, back to East Enders.. Nicks going to get Dot.
