Pathetic Subaru Ownership

Pathetic Subaru Ownership
Please tell me that Subaru ownership has not reached this pathetic level ....
Town Centre racing at traffic lights on a Saturday afternoon in the middle of town against a BMW M3 Soft Top on Cheltenham inner ring road !
The Subaru in question was not an old model....
At least I got my ten year old son off of the carriageway before the muppet went past.
Sorry Scoobynet this is not a good day .....

OK Guys before this thread turns into its normal muppet show you will note I joined in 2002 and have owned numerous Subaru's without the desire for needless comment on threads if you think my comment is needless today then it truly is a sad day for Subaru...
The car is an icon and no doubt will be for years to come but I am sorry to see such idiots in such capable cars ...
If you want an argument or feel the need for childish comment I will not react.

i would probably be guilty as charged 5/6 years ago but I have grown up since then. no excuse for it just immaturity and too much horsepower for young person.
i always prefered that bypass going from M5 J12 to gloucester myself when i was living down there, gone and built a police HQ now haven't they?

i think its the time/place isue rather than the speed that the OP has a problem with. If its where i think hes talking about then fair play, its only a 40mph zone.
just so were straight, i dont drive like that anymore!

30 zone with shoppers - yes uncalled for as already said. i couldnt live with myself if i killed a kid in a 30zone blasting around like a nutter - so i dont!
But, i have broke the speed limit before, got the back end out in my 318 when its wet, etc! but dont go round saying people shouldnt do this kinda thing, because it just happens! leave it for the plod to sort mr 555, just because you own the same marque car doesnt mean it directly affects you does it.

Think you might be over-reacting a tad with the "Sorry scoobynet this is not a good day and truly is a sad day for Subaru".
Doesnt matter if you drive a Ford or a Ferrari, there are people who drive them like nutters, its not a sad day for every other owner, just the poor ***** who get knocked down by the idiots.
To say its a sad day for the whole brand is a bit OTT.

i just don't bother now. it has to be a young thing. when i was in my early 20s i drove like a ****. wrote off numerous cars, went to court lots and paid big fines. never killed anyone btw. into my 30s and i mellowed quite a bit. now into my 40s with a heavily modified scooby and i have been taught that why would you waste your money trying to impress some tosser in an m3, saxo, golf gti, etc etc. if you lunch your engine are they going to help you out financially to replace it? just let them kill themselves. i still race my car, but it is on the track a la scooby shootout or TOTB.

Listen mate with some of the comments you've made i think you need to grow up a bit too! you started a thread about two cars driving like idiots which is fair enough. Now because people dare to have a different opinion on your comments (as far as i can see no one has condoned what has happened) you start throwing your toys out. You've come on tarring Subaru drivings by pretty much saying that idiots only buy Subaru's, as Moley said every marque has their share too. You made your point but badly and snetters made you aware of this, i can see why your upset due to your son nearly being cleaned up. You've come on this forum and almost accused all of us of driving like this. You should have said "there is some idiots driving powerful cars these days, one was a white newage scooby hope it was none of you as this gives us a bad name"

FFS what a pointless thread to make in the first place...
By the way i'm 28 and have owned a LOT of performance cars inc 4 scooby's now so i'll say what i like.It sounds like you either don't have a scooby anymore or if you do sell it and buy a DSG Golf Diesel and just pootle around like the rest of the crowd do BTW i am NOT condoning racing in a 30 mph limit and as i've got older i don't tend to take bait as much as i used to BUT i drive a fast car for a reason and when the mood takes me and all is clear i'll cane it just like the next guy.
There's more to life than coming on a forum and banging on about it mate, i don't know about you but i have better things to worry about in my life! The sun's shining..and i'm off outside to fit my new Prosport gauges
P.S
Who won????????????????

Until someone can build an anti-bellend device that Subaru can install in cars we will always be cursed with skinny shirtless, cap wearing, loud music, toothless, wanna be hard man, driving position 2" from the steering wheel, free max power stickers on the boot impreza owners.
I drive SOOOOOOOOO slow most places, just to even out the scales, I know I have a fast car and knowing if enough for me these days. I get more from ownership by looking after my car than I could ever get by ragging it around a town centre. (plus im old)
