Quote: Ive spotted a set of Oz Racing Ultraleggera s on special offer £999 including budget tyres . Will the 18x8 5x100 ET48 fit the MY08 STI. Also what size tyre would you think best ?
Not without some work it would appear. STi has been 5x114.3 for a while.

Sound a little narrow too - think the standard width is 8.5 inches with a 245mm wide tyre on 18 inch wheels.

Can someone confirm?

Cheers.

Already run the new decals past the Mrs. I'm unsure tho, was never into WRX's with STi decals if you know what i mean, mines a R26 and not R26R. Rear spoiler ordered tho. Looking for some kind of mudflap to stop the crap going up the side. Getting upgraded cd player and looking at Miltek cat back. SShhh!! say nowt tho.

ha ha ha miltek already... she'll end up not driving this one also LOL..

Don't badge it incorrectly, just copy the R26R side decals, but with R26 logo... that'll look

Yep... that'll be a marked improvement on the standard unit

I went for the Cosworth one... but have a K & N panel in my Disco...and the difference was quite instant.

too bad that 90% of the comments on the k&n are bad... It would suck more dirt and other sh*t in the engine.

If you're nervous, get the cosworth one then.
Both work 300% better than the OEM one

Anyone else experiencing the air intake tube popping of the airbox?

Mine's come off 5 times in the last month, one time Dunc from Dynamix re-positioned it and tightened it... only for it to be off again a week later...so it's not me!

Trouble is when it pops off, it's drawing un-filtered hot air from the engine bay... which isn't ideal!

Grab youself a zerosports pipe from Revolution, much better and has not come off in 6 months, it does twist a little but always stays on.

and un-metered air which is possibly worse as it will make it run lean.

Sounds daft but clean the inside of the pipe and spray hairspray on it - tighten the jubilee and with a little heat from the engine it will set solid and not budge.
