If you use Chrome it will auto translate for you.

I think my filter is a bit too big...just a wee trial fit but diameter too wide at base, fouls on IC pipe so cant rotate down into wing

Looks to me as though the whole pipe needs rotating so that the port for the MAF is at the top

yep....but it cant rotate as the base of the filter then fouls on the IC pipe running below it

its not a kit - its a mishimoto hardpipe twinned with a Ramair Proram filter - wanted a filter with a velocity stack, but this filter/stack combo is too big

Thanks. I've found that before, but am not on Chrome, so that makes sense.

Expensive month for me, car is at TDR for an engine rebuild hopefully i'll be getting it back next week. But i need new tyres all round. I have Bridgestone S001 (245/40/18 93Y) on at the moment but have been considering a change and was looking at the Uniroyal Rain Sport 3's. My Bridgestones have been great and have worn well, has anyone else used both of these tyre models? How did they compare?

R888's here, wouldn't choose anything else for the summer periods, I even use them in the wet providing your not on the edge.

Also just undergone an engine rebuild/refresh myself, feel your pain!

Thanks, i just checked those out, they're semi slick track tyres and a little out of my price range

I know it came at the wrong time to be honest. It had already had a forge rebuild done by the previous owner due to ringland failure. Now one of the cylinders was cracked and i'm having to have a new block fitted.

@j3rvx i ran the S001's on both my hawk and hatch with great review of them - couldnt fault them, i then switched to Goodyear F1 eagle asym3 - that was near 18mths ago and they are a step above the s001's regarding wear and wet grip. the car is a daily driver.

re rainsports, what i was alway put off with was the soft sidewall on them but i believe there is an XL variant now that might get over that issue but cant comment on them

Thanks, i just read the Goodyear's review they're decently priced too, i think I'll give these a go. The hatch tyres are rated 93Y but have seen the 97Y cheaper will it make much difference?

Where do you all get your tyres from? I've been using camskill for years just wondering if there was anywhere else decent.

97Y are a stiffer sidewall they are rated at 750kg whereas 93Y are 650kg

I've 97Y on mine

I get my tyres from local tyre fitter hes always willing to price match inc fitting cost.

Got the wee power steering pipe cooler fitted as mentioned by @Rusti

If you have a uk car you can reuse the clip on the alarm sensor takes a wee bit of bending of sensor mount but works

engine bay is near complete just need to switch the current CAI to the mishimoto race intake and airbox, mainly due to it being a 3" intake which is more suited to the AVO silicone intake. Airbox needs a bit of modification to accommodate the IC pipe which will run through the back plate of the airbox

no you dont have to you'll lose a tiny tiny bit when removing the hose from the engine side, but just have a rag handy. then for the other end, remove the reservoir bolt on the turret and then rotate the whole reservoir so that the pipe can be removed without losing any fluid

As it's come from Dubai (outside EU) and as it's a small value item Fedex don't usually bother asking for money upfront, but expect an invoice in the post for the VAT and Administration charge sometime soon. Unless declared as a gift???

All's good, but my top mount is offset a bit, and I have a much louder induction noise than before. The clutch is just bedding in, and it feels nice and taut in the steering . Unfortunately, it hasn't stopped the rumbling noise, but these spec C's have no sound deadening at all. A bit more room with the pump gone. Sorry I didn't reply earlier, I got interrupted half way through posting.
