New wheels fitted. Speedline SL2 mamora. These are only 8inch wide but I could still run std tyre size 245/40/18 Michelin ps5 and they are only et40 so was able to remove my 15mm spacers

thanks for the pics. The cut out on mine is a lot bigger. I’m going just going to replace it with a new one to keep the crap out.

Very nice! I do like those wheels. Is that lowered too? Also don’t you fancy the black r205 fender badges?

I fitted a set of the cosworth coilovers to it so lowered a bit.

I thought about the r205 badges but prefer the standard badges to help break it up. Black against the grey wouldnt be lost. It's actually running the facelift my10-12 badges as they are more a Satin silver rather than the chrome of the my08-10 cars

I invested heavily in my "Unfitted Parts" collection this weekend, but I'm reluctant to say what for fear of ridicule.
But I do have an unfitted Invidia Titan cat back available at a reasonable price, plus a new H&S decat twinscroll downpipe ...as a result.
And if I get a shift on this winter, a well used HKS jdm mid exhaust section too.
I've got tons of stuff infact that needs to go.

Well, before Black Friday I had the following to fit; Ohlins r&t, Perrin turbo intake and AOS, Sard sports cat or H&S decat, Invidia titan exhaust straight through, defi oil temp and pressure, Zero sports twin hood pod, Mishimoto CAI.....that i can remember
And now I have Tomei cat back, RCM oil cooler, sti pitch stop, sti gear linkage bush, Fuji extended ball joints and Fuji oil temp/pressure connectors, oh and Goodyear super sports.
And I powder coated my Cusco roll bars, so now I can deal with the rotting Whiteline bar. Oh, new Whiteline adjustable droplinks because they are the only ones long enough.

I'm looking for stereo upgrade options for the hatch. Head unit is bought and was wondering what people are running for speaker and sub upgrade. Understand not everyone is interested in audio and probably not the greatest car for an sq system but looking for inspiration for a bit of an upgrade. I've plenty of bits lying around just looking for install options. Stealth type sub box or similar type thing I'm looking at for the boot.

Next part of the puzzle. Eibach ARB's. Got these off the hatch Matty is breaking and literally had them delivered to the door within 3 days of me sending payment 😃

Will probably get them powdercoated black

Have the whiteline bracing for rear bar coming also plus new bushes and droplinks 👍

They look chunky? How thick?
I'm interested because I've just had my Cusco ones powder coated, which are, i think, 20mm & 22mm, and ive slightly regretted going up another notch to 22mm adjustable. Or is it 24mm?? Cant remember, but with Ohlins going on this winter I may downsize.

I was also conscious of them being very chunky (25mm front, 22mm rear) but they are hollow/tubular bars which means it supposedly equates to (picked info up on US site)

Front 25mm hollow
soft = 20.8mm equivalent

hard = 21.4 mm equivalent

Rear 22mm hollow
soft = 18.7mm equivalent

hard = 20.0mm equivalent

std rates are
MY08-10
front 20mm
rear 18mm

MY11-14
front 21mm
rear 19mm

so the Eibach bars basically near mirror the MY11-14 on soft, or touch stiffer on hard

Always loved the classics had 3 1998 uk2000s in a row, followed by a blob, the blob was a good all round car but always felt missing something.
So far I'm loving this hatchback, it's 100 percent standard, feels quick of the mark more like the old 1s and drives like a dream

So those values quoted above arent actual eibach rates seemingly, they where a comparison of RCE tubular bars so I thought I'd just Eibach themselves and they where able to confirm.

Went one step further and and asked eibach for the bar settings/rates compared to std

Factory STI bars MY08-10
Front = 285 lbs/in
Rear = 185 lbs/in

Eibach Bars (2 settings on each)
Front = 468-531 lbs/in
Rear = 331-432 lbs/in

Ref ARB's.

I got told by Simon at Chevron Motorsport that OEM anti roll bars work best on a hatch esp at the rear, i think the rear stock size is 18mm or 18.5mm ..... Simon tested out various size ARB's during testing for their rally and track car hatchback setups, he pointed this out during one of my services where he noticed that i had a rear whiteline ARB on my car and he advised changing it to a stock OEM one.
