Thanks Phil, it's appreciated. I'm going to sort some black wheels and then it's on to the engine bay. What else do you have planned?

I'm sitting on black enkei's atm but fancy changing them for td's.

I've got a single exit catback to fit during the week as I like the US styling then it's springs and a splitter to save for.
Few other things I would like on the "when funds allow" list

The wing riser kits look really well in my opinion. It give the car a different look with such a small change.

With all my interior being changed around I thought would look better if it all matched lol , so with my carbon backed brides and my rears being re trimmed to match them I thought I'd better do something about the door cards , with such a small bit of material on the door I thought it pointless spending a fortune to have them retrimmed aswell , so iv brought myself a set of WRC carbon door cards to match my carbon bride backs ,, just picked up the rears as my mate Dave (chap building mine and frays Wrc projects) only had the rear in stock so pick the fronts up in a week or two when they arrive

Not to everyone's taste but I really like them , sorry about the poo pics but will post proper Ones when there all fitted

Default Std 2009 sti head unit broke?

Kenwood double din nav head unit, std one in 2009 sti 330s, seems to have discs stuck - no eject, no spun so won't boot up.

Anyone any ideas, or have an old/ spare one going cheap?

Thanks

What does it say on screen when it powers up, any error message? There is a secret 'eject' where you hold the top right corner of the touch screen. That worked for me recently when I changed the battery and my sat nav dropped its memory and wouldn't boot up because I had 'an unofficial mapping cd' in at the time!

black screen with writing on asking to insert DVD, Then underneath saying no map dvd inserted, it does have an unofficial disc in the map drive and the original map disc has been placed in the drive above. Tech thought it was asking for dvd to be inserted so popped it in the top drive.

radio plays etc but no option to change the screen.

Other option is I'm awaiting Kenwood to send me a repair form to get it fixed. looked for a secret button yesterday but was unaware of holding the screen in the top right corner.

A friend who works for a Kenwood agent confirmed the same, no genuine nav discs will cause a malfunction and need the original to boot up off.

With the face open touch the upper right corner of the touch screen for about 5 seconds will eject map disc

So for the CD/DVD slot you hold the tilt button

Hey guys

Not been on here for a while but popped back and put my hatch up for sale again but at a bargain price

It just doesn't get used so has to go

Tell your friends! It's shame for such a fresh car not to be getting it's proper use. And I know it's capable of so much more power for the cost of a map tweak and maybe a de res centre pipe!

Exactly. Worked for me recently. Hold top right for 5 secs, unofficial cd out, original back in, system reboots then you can use the unofficial map update again.
