Because the hubs on the STi are bigger, so the front strut mounting holes are different.

The rear spring/damper combo doesn't attach to the hub as in older models but to the main lateral link so is not affected by the hub difference.

Ark exhausts are good and "similar" to the H&S setup for the Hatch, but how often do you look at the back of a car from that angle ??

Go titanium tipped GRIP............

where is the fuel filter etc? and is the pump some sort of compact item? whats the limits of the pump

fuel filter in hawk sti was in the tank above the fuel pump but handy enough changed along with a pump

@Don - yeah watched that video last night, was hoping that was just a special US car or something!! Do you know what the limitations are on the std pump?

is there no fuel filter then as such? just the sock on the bottom of the pump?

I'm changing mine to an HRC 255 to go with my decat and remap at the start of next month. I watched that vid and then decided that Subaru 4 You can fit the pump as it looked like a right faff

Not sure what the limit is on the std pump but I wanted to be sure I wasn't limiting myself.

A lot of people have mapped their cars on the standard fuel pump with no issues

What other mods are you running ?

Well it was advised on hawk sti to do hence the question regarding hatch fuel pump limitations.

Other people have mapped their cars to what though?

I'm the same as Gambit and am changing my pump as I assume my mod will be beyond the standard pump.

I'll be running a forged build with mishimoto intake, full h&s decat and a remap by Bob Rawle. Expecting around 350-360, so I thought that might be pushing the standard pump too much, are others running these mods on the standard pump?

Yeah, I've just realised I can't read! I'm going to double check but I might as well save the money not fitting it!

i havent fitted a fuel pump and ran 361bhp.

with forged pistons, AEM induction kit , H&S decat , Prodrive catback.

i beleive the standard pump is fine up to 400+
then your into injectors and turbo anyway

Interesting point re fuel pump.

I have just had my 2011 engine rebuilt (forged) and in the process of a Bob R remap, his recommendation was for an uprated fuel pump, I have gone for the RCM one, it is a drop in type.

When Duncan @racedynamics mapped mine this year, he said the standard pump was fine for under 400. you pays your money & you take your chance....

runs from pcv & head breathers, oil goes back down the oil filler neck and air is piped back into inlet
