Recaros have been put in the loft for safe keeping so they arnt worn out when I come to sell the scoob in a few years

Those seats are far better suited and I'd be helping you by freeing up vital loft space.
Seriously though I'd never fit in those seats.

Clearing out the garage and found a new leather gear gator with red stitching to match the Recaros if anyone is interested, only test fitted.

How much space do you have between the seat and the inside of the car it looks tight I've been put off getting new seats because of this the standard recaros are tight enlightenment any tighter would be a nightmare to fit they do look sexy tho

I'm lucky that I have a bucket seat shaped **** but the Mrs has said its a bit tight (still fits in though lol) so I may end up swapping the passenger one out for a XL one as a lot of my mates tend to be on the wider side and there. Is still plenty of room for one

no, whether your cars is 100bhp or 400bhp, if you're doing 70mph.. both cars will stop the same with the same brakes.
hence me saying if you do track days or drive like a loon you're not doing anything any different than when your car is std BHP

If manufactures thought like you they would not spend extra on the faster cars in the model line-up fitting bigger and better brakes, they would be an optional extra for those that ’may’ want to go to the track, you'd certainly not have Brembos on your 330s, what would be the point if you are going to drive like you are in a fiat 500.
The fact you purchased a performance car means that the chances are you will get places quicker (not necessarily by speeding), and will approach round abouts carrying more speed etc and will require better braking.
I don’t drive like a loon but have been thankful of my Brembos a few times when I’ve come in a little hot to a bend, a bend of which is I was driving my VW Camper I would have of approached a lot slower!
The only times bigger brakes are 'really' needed are if you have a lot of weight so for big heavy cars, vans etc, but for us there is really no point as we'll be driving sensibly, but we don't always do we as we have 300bhp under the bonnet so do sometimes get to the speed limit a little qicker.

Got to agree, better brakes is always an advantage.
I remember the standard 05 STi brakes were pretty awful and wooden feeling, k sport 8 pots went on and the car was transformed, gave me more confidence and if i needed to stop quick I could.

My now completed TMIC, for reference we measured the core depth on this to the standard OE item - 100mm vs 55mm, plus the better quality motorsport core will mean that this outperform the OE by some margin.
My brand new Prodrive GT2 wheels which have been refinished in BWM Sepang Bronze, it really is hard from the pics to see the way that the colour changes with light but I have to say I am really pleased with them and the contrast depending on the lighting conditions.

Yes that is the tyre 'soap' on the outside of the rim, if it were kerb rash I would been a little cheesed off as the car doesn't even have an engine in it at present.
I will get some further pics when the car is in daylight to better show the colour.

You are missing the point, regardless of tracks days etc, most people mod and improve the performance of a car and never take it to a track, this may not result in them breaking the 70mph speed limit but will certainly mean they get to 70mph quicker, and the need to stop faster should the need arise.

so the real answer to the question is....
is it better to upgrade your brakes.. no matter what BHP your car does?

Thanks both, I'll see if I can find out how much they would be to 'Joe Public' although I didn't exactly have it for nothing I have to say, cheaper than a Perrin FMIC but still pretty eye watering.
