Don, Rob etc - planned to get Japspeed FMIC but seems an endless wait at present in them getting re-stocked although they did hope to get them back in a month ago. Any other links for 08 STi Hatch FMIC without paying very inflated price guys?

I have some plans for car and the FMIC is the only item not avail at present?

Had looked at this Phil but having spent £5k 9 months ago and another poss £4k soon the Perrin wasn't going to come into the budget unless I dropped some other goodies - on speaking to Rob he was pretty impressed with his one without the need to go so high budget on FMIC hence looking for one lower than Perrin cost.

Looks like I won't be getting my rota force alloys no one has any stock of any colour with a 35 offset 😢 back to the drawing board

This might sound like a very silly question from my previous post but since I can't get rota force, I have came across rota mxr wheels, they are also 18x9 et 35 5x114.3 but will they fit over the bermbos? I know they are exactly the same size so does that mean yea they will fit?

Thanks

Rob.

The car looks great, have you considered a grill in front of the FMIC?

Default Easter at the Ring

We went to the ring over Easter again but this time with the hatch instead of the spec C. so was not to sure how it would go with the 2,0l in a heavy car but was very pleased with it,she turned in very well after the powerstation mods and was very balenced on the limit, the best lap was a 8.20 btg
This is a lap trying to catch my mate Rob in his Spec C it was his second lap of the weekend and I had done about 7 at this time

Hi Lee, I have just read through your thread on here, it would appear that there is a communication issue between the ecu and the CTS, Now judging by the fact that the ecu being moved the fault disappears indicates to me that there is a connection fault on the multi plug on he ecu or worst case scenario water ingression into the ecu plug.

My advice would be to unplug the ecu from the passenger foot well and check the resistance's on the wiring which heads back to the CTS. if this checks out ok it would be advised to check the pin connections on both the plug and the ecu for good connectivity. There are no known issues with ECU failures to press but that doesn't mean it cant happen. But going by what your dealer has said by moving the wires etc the fault goes its a connectivity issue rather than an ecu fault.

For information the ecu's were removed on the cars for reflashing so it could be that there has been either a wire broken/trapped etc or the pins misaligned causing future issues.

I have no service manual to hand on this laptop so cant tell you wiring colours and pin numbers at present. I can check this back at the workshop on Monday.

Hope this information assists. Its back to basics really with the wiring and resistance checks and continuity to grounds

Hi.
Prodrive back box is stainless steal. 3.5" tail pipe exits.

Same as 330s
Mine sounds o.k. Nothing loud tho.

The spec is listed in my profile. It's done 30k and has a new MOT and 6 months tax. I'm about 5 miles from Oulton Park.
Has the original Prodrive exhaust and second set of wheels with winter tyres and most of the original bits that have been upgraded.

Paid £200 for mine including the resonator pipe, so unless new item rather expensive.
The prodrive exhaust is louder than the standard issue but not loud enough to upset the neighbours. The twin chrome tailpipes also look miles better than the original

Yes mate changing the springs and the alloys from 17 to 18s resulted in a drop of only 35mm which keeps it ok for speed bumps! the 18s fill the arches a lot better than the 17s giving it a nicer look!
