100cel sports cat 3 inch cat back, cai, remap by neil at slowboys, carbon fibre spoiler, front grill and eyelids
upgraded wrx brakes mudflaps Bluetooth other bits and bobs
on the way is a short shifter and considering lowering springs
Them carbon parts look a nice fit, where are they from?
have you had the car re mapped for your zorst change?
Fogs are on for the photo!
No, not had it remapped. I've toyed with the idea of a cold air intake and possibly a sports cat/down pipe replacement but should I go down that route the car will definitely be getting a remap.
What are people's thoughts on running a catch can or air oil separator?
I like the idea of the air oil seperator but don't like what I've read about moisture / gunk buildup.
I personally only kept the PCV operational to remove harmful gasses from the crank case on cruise. I piped the rest to an OBP baffled 3 port catch tank which I mounted on the bulk head & fitted a filter to the top of it

Thanks Rob for the reply, does that mean in effect that you've got a part OE / part catch can system in place? How much residue do you find in the catch can?
I'd always thought that when using a catch can that the entire OE breather system was junked, but yours might be a great alternative.

Yes pretty much, so when on cruise off boost the pcv valve is in operation drawing gasses and moisture out of the crankcase to stop it emulsifying.
So when on boost the pcv slams shut and everything goes into the catch tank and not into the intake. Get a bit of oily residue in the tank, more watery than anything from the hot gasses passing through.
Just some thoughts, getting Cambelt done this week or next, is it worth doing it has a full kit change with water pump etc , is there a problem with the pumps etc ? or is it more of what the hell might as well change it all as its off,

Iv got one custom made by teg sport as I didn't want to buy a cheapy kit as they don't work aswell as the good kits and the better the cooler works the better your car will run and the more bhp's you will get lol ,, I'm fitting my kit next week but they have said no cutting will be needed so should be fairly easy
