Couple more upgrades , damd steering wheel and red start/stop button





Also fitted a front splitter and rear diffuser

 

We're did you get damd from and cost ? Also put some pics up of your car so I can pinch ideas

 

Don't know the exact cost as I ordered it with quite a few bits but it was £270 , plus postage from Japan plus import tax and handling fee so about 350-400 once in the uk

Not got any other pics at the mo as only had it a couple of weeks but I'm going to a meet tomorrow so will get some then

 

Looking very nice Steve, I like that steering wheel a lot.

 

I thought Strike paid about £600 for the steering wheel from Japan.

Wasn't anywhere near that ,, wasn't over £400 or I wouldn't have brought one ,, 260 plus 60 postage plus 80 import tax ,,, was tempted by the carbon one but thought it might get a bit hot in the summer lol

Its not my first damd wheel had one on the last scoob aswell

 

The wheel looks really smart, what rear diffuser have you fitted any pics? also what boost gauge is it? it blends in well with the clocks.

 

Think the gauge is a prosport one but to be honest I havnt really looked at the make as I'm swapping it out for a defi one soon ,, rear diffuser is a HTautos one

 

Does anyone know what the switch is for that's under the traction control button ,, ie where the drivers shin would be ish ? ,, found it today but havnt a clue what its for lol

 

AFAIK, apart from the VDC mode button, there isn't anything OEM fitted there.

A piccie would help

 

Well my new turbo from EngineTuner has arrived, it's a Turbo Technics T36 with the larger exhaust housing from a T38 to allow it to hold boost for longer.

So it's a hybrid unit which should be far better suited to the 2.5 litre engine and being a relatively unknown turbo to Subaru owners will hopefully surprise with the figures achieved.

These are really cost effective units when compared to the Scoobyclinic Blouch units being 'only' £1080, this means they are a good amount cheaper than their competition.









The turbo comes with all the oil and coolant lines plus banjo unions etc and of course is a standard location fitment.

 

Will take one today ,, my mate also owned a hatch not long ago and said his also had the same switch but he didn't know what his was for either

It's front parking sensors mate is on my 330s

 

Subaru have parking sensors and traction contro,reallyl?? People shouldn't be driving this type of car if they need driver aids!!

Those DAMD steering wheels are really lovely. Proper meaty feel to them, been on my wishlist for ages.

Would not recommend the carbon ones, I doubt they'd fit in too well with the interior unless you've got a lot of carbon on show.

Just had a look at the damd steering wheels, well worth the money IMO. The red stitching looks so much better than the carbon one.

 

This looks very interesting what kind of figures are you expecting to achieve?

 

Hopefully an easy 450nhp.

 

What are your opinions of the BC racing coilovers guys? I keep seeing them pop up on various forums, seems that they are the best coilover if you are on a budget?

Had a set on my hawk and to be honest couldn't fault them for the money ,, one thing to do though is copper slip everything well when you fit them as they have been know to seize up over time ,,, I'd happily buy another set

 

Thats good to know, I was looking at the BR series in particular. Just shyof £700. There are a few different types of coilover though isn't there?
