I picked up a 340lph fuel pump today from Torques, my fascia adaptor and steering wheel control / radio wiring loom arrived today to enable me to fit my Pioneer AVH-3500DAB plus my Prodrive GT2 wheel arrived today as well.

So tomorrow I plan to get a few jobs out of the way:

Fit new head unit
Fit new CDF rear anti roll bar and braces
Fit new Torques fuel pump
Fit door window deflectors
Remove CDF Racing logo from the drivers side
Remove rear Subaru and Impreza badges

There is a lot more than that that needs to be done but it will be done over a period rather than all at one time.

Plus I have an STi battery brace currently on it's way from Japan as well.

If I am honest then I am not their greatest fan, I have had their splitters before on a Hawkeye, Blobeye (WRX & STi) on a Spec C and the finish / fit wasn't the best in my experience.

Like I said on the Group Buy I have nothing to gain from this possible Group Buy, I will pay the same as everyone else but I am trying to help other owners out by offering an alternative.

I've not used that one for the grill but similar and found it really faded with UV, I use 6mm pinstripe tape from Halfords, looks great and lasts years.

Then got on the m4 to come home and a Ferrari California and had a play what a great bloke and awsome car but the little wrx did really well I'm actully very pleased with how she performed if she had better brakes and wide arch kit it'd be perfect

Ian advised brembos but I'm now going for the replica 4 pot calliper kit he's got as it won't brake the bank and it'll improve it for selling as the big brake kit is overkill on my can and you know the plan for 330s next year so not going mad. He's got some amazing stuff there and I'm lucky to have him on my doorstep. Ian's going to powder coat the new callipers for me then that'll sort the fronts for now.

I ordered a set of these today, I like the moulded and contoured fit plus the Rally Armor products are hard to beat for quality.

3" front to back with 4x4" tailpipes, it looks to have a slight resonated center section and a huge back box so its not that loud.

After my unsuccessful attempt to try and source a genuine STi front strut brace for a reasonable price I ended up ordering a Summit Racing item.

The one thing I did notice when I was doing some work on the car at the weekend was the amount of flattened fins in the TMIC, far more than I have ever seen on any other Impreza I have owned.

I don't think the core being sprayed with a logo helped either, but about 40% of the fins are bent which I would imagine have an effect on the performance of the core. So now I either have to spend literally hours straightening them all back out or look at getting it recored or source another TMIC.

I also fitted a set of door window deflectors and a Pioneer AVH-X3600DAB head unit last weekend, the deflectors fit really well and I am really happy with the head unit, plus I had a pleasant surprise at how good the speakers are - whether they have been uprated in the past I don't know but far better than I was expecting.

Plus the Subaru and Impreza badges were removed from the hatch and the remaining CDF Racing logo removed from the driver's side of the car.

There is a fair deal more left to do the car yet, but I am happy with progress so far.

Looking good Cannon Fodder, as I have a blue hatch as well I'll be looking out for your mods for inspiration.

On another note, has anyone had problems with chips/road rash on the rear doors? Mine is showing faint signs that this may be an issue in the future, particularly in the winter months. It's the bottom of the rear doors as the curve into the wheel arch, so they are a prime area to take any stones tossed up. The previous owner has had a clear film put onto the very bottom corner/side skirt I'm guessing for some form of protection.
John.

Thanks, I also noticed the amount of debris being thrown up at the bottom of the rear doors and ordered a set of mud flaps which I hope will offer some protection.

I am pretty sure that my car had flaps fitted previously as those prime areas for road rash are unmarked on my car, and the fact that some of the clips for the arch liners are missing sort of confirms this.

I hadn't thought about getting the bottom of the doors and front edges of the rear wings wrapped in clear vinyl but it's definitely something I will look into now.
