I tried to enter June 30th 2010 in my new i-phone so I can try to get down for NBO 8. My phone suggests that 30th June 2010 is actually a Wednesday.
Its starting to get a bit cold up here which, I thought was supposed improve function of the brain but mine seems to have frozen.

Christmas has come early. The ipod controller has arrived from the USA.

Now I'm worried though, I've seen a post on 1 of the US forums from a brit that tried doing this to a forrester and it didn't work due to the lack of the sat button on our headunits. Sods law that post was put up after I ordered the part.

Our Sat button is labeled RDS, so I'm guessing its wired up differently.

Seen you roll in Rob with the convoy. I had a bite to eat and was about to come find you when everyone started to get ready to leave. Your cars stance looked in the flesh!!! Never mind, catch up soon, hatch meet up this way maybe?

Just a quick question, does anyone else find that the standard STi ride 'bobs' up and down quite a bit? It's not that is firm or harsh, just a rather uncomfortable 'bobbing up and down'!

Hi, I've ordered and waiting for some Oz Ultraleggera 18's to come in - can anyone that has replaced the factory rims let me know if you were able to transfer the tire pressure monitor into the new rims?

Ha nice one Rob!! Tell you what i do find, car is alot easier to drive. Less roll means less straining on the steering wheel to keep in the seat. No pressure on my arms now when cornering, IYKWIM!! Got myself a CG Lock and now everything spot on. Think i have found my impreza eutopia!!! i can honestly say this is the best subaru, out of 5, i have had without doubt.

I have a 09 330s and purchased the kit from US on the 4th of Aug it just arrived yesterday. The kit I ordered was "H621SSC200" comes with fitting instructions for the Impreza. So tonight I connected it up. Ipod shows it is charging and shows the subaru sign on the display but I can't get it play as no SAT button, so don't know where to go from there.

Hi not sure where you have seen the tyre pressure monitor was it an extra? As a fellow Devonian do you use Vospers or Ashburton? I have had varied experiences just wondered how you had got on?

Should be possible as the wireless sender unit in the wheel is glued to the inside of the rim. Need to carefully remove the sensors from the old wheels and re-glue them to the new wheels. A decent tyre specialist or your car dealer should be able to help you

Is the car an import from the USA, I thought only the USA spec cars had the TPM fitted as standard?

Which head unit have you got? I have the standard non nav unit.

On that 1 the sat button should be the RDS button if the wiring is there, which I bet its not now

I'm 1/2 tempted to write to IM and ask us why they shaft us like this, when every other marque offers this part as an option. Even Seat and Hyundai!!! Talk about being behind the times when a budget brand offer it.

The 330s comes with the sat nav unit, the quick guides show the audio button then select sat, but it does not appear. I think it may be different firmware the usa and european models. I wonder how to get that or would they be a jumper inside the unit.

Will keep you updated on the Ipod front, The bluetooth kit was/is a rip off, all you need is a standard small mic and wire it up(3 wires). I found instructions on here and it worked no problem.

couldn't see the point of the sat nav head unit and all the crap it comes with and all the good stuff it doesnt come with for the 330S and UK type!!!

much better to buy a top aftermarket unit for half the price and with up to date stuff plus the added option to update software.

Got the bluetooth kit with the factory nav unit and it's not the best in the world to be honest. No problems with the nav unit itself though, in fact it does everything i want.

Good luck with the purchase

Think thats the way we will all be heading if you want ipod integration. This was worth a punt first though.

Although Subaru as the dealers pointed out to me do offer a Clarion unit...................

For £1700!!! Plus cables, plus adapter plate, plus anything else they want to rape you for!

Oh I figured that the new hatches had the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, maybe I've just been spending too much time on iwsti.com! So the Type UK's don't have this then?

Yeah I use Vospers but think they're a**holes really, refused to let me test drive an 09 Sti on their forecourt on 3 different days insisting that they were short staffed and couldn't accommodate a 15 minute test drive. So I drove to Dorset the next day and did a cash deal for one!

Maybe I will look to Ashburton in the future, Vospers Exeter is winding down their Subaru and think they may be getting rid of it. Showrooms always locked and you have to go the Mazda next door to get any help!

Ok, now I'm getting more and more confused about this whole ipod thing.

By all accounts it plugs in to the cd changer port on the back. Now in teh uk we get the cd changer

CD Autochanger

Why does something so simple have to be so bleeding complicated.

the whole ipod dock carry on really annoyed me, looked into the subaru kit and got a friend in the usa to check if it would fit a uk car and they seemed to think it wasnt possible.

so me being me just ripped the whole lot out and fitted an Alpine setup inplace which works a treat
