Sorry to see that Rob any idea on what colour car did the damage as they will have done a fair bit of a scrap on their own car.If you don't get any CV footage as your in the trade might be an idea to ask around to see if anybody's having to get their car repaired with white paint ingrained into their car

You'll probably get more to do at work, something exciting like MOT's ....

Sad to see the white beastie like that, at least it's cosmetic and quick / cheap to fix.

The bumper was buckled in quite badly and popped back out, not sure what the score is with the paint, although I did admittedly pull most of it off. to check for serious gouges

I'm off work for a few days luckily, No mot's yet I'm waiting for my dates at VOSA.

Cars up at the body shop for them to sort out, New wing going on, new washer jet cover, new clips & a plastic bracket for the bumper to clip onto the wing. I could do with it back really I'm bored ****less & I have things to be doing

well The car is progressing back to her former glory. Infact the who ever Twatted the wing did me a favour in hindsight. I removed the old wing and its ridiculous that it was corroding on the inside edges, obviously where the wheel arch liner has been rubbing and the lack of factory paint finish.

Anyhow wing off & look at those tyres hahaha

Just the bumper is being addressed, Doesn't look too bad to be fair.

Also while I was there collected my winter wheels, I wanted them orange and said not to worry too much about the bead area etc. Just straight out of the oven into the boot of the courtesy vehicle lol. Need to rest for a couple of days to let the thinners evaporate before mounting the tyres

I'm in the middle of getting my engine rebuilt using acl bearings, carillo rods and wossner pistons l. After running it in what oil should I put in it?

Also getting a 2013 oil pump fitted and a 2.0L sump and pick up pipe.

Millers 10/60
Motul 300v 10/60
Shell helix 10/60
Or something els??

I'd suggest a normal basic oil like Castrol GTX ( or what ever it's called nowadays! ) for the first 50 miles or so ( unless you get some "special" running in oil ? Not sure what that is!!)

Change filter and oil.

Then same again or better std oil.

Change at 500 miles - 1000 miles. Go to semi synth oil.

At 2000-3000 miles, feel free to go to a proper fully synth, high ester oil.

Too slippy in the early miles will not allow the wearing bits to bed in properly as too little friction, apparently. So piston rings won't seal as well as they could on the bore, maybe bearings still a bit rough?

Loving those wheels man. I went for something a bit more sedate as winter wheels.

Hey all

Just wanted to say I've sold my sti. Had to pay my car loan off to help a mortgage renewal go through so I waved goodbye to it yesterday evening.

Hopefully when all sorted ill be getting something else in February. I'm thinking bmw m5 or vauxhall vxr8. Anyone with any tips on either would be appreciated.
