Hi guys,

Thinking of going to 18" wheels. For people that have had the standard 17" and gone to 18". Did you notice any differece in the ride/ handling?

Thanks for the 330s wheel offers, will be in touch.

Anyone know where I can get set of genuine STI type uk mats for a hatch?

To me it looks like a bigger risk having those fitted as due to different thermal expansion they will sooner or later become loose, the same with converting a semi closed deck block to CDB, you can't make sure the materials the companies use are exactly the same as what teh block is made from.

.
The block is machined and the pins press fitted into the block between the bore and the case. the pins are the same thermal expansion material that the block is made of so they wont come out anyhow, be a bloody miracle if they ever did as the headgaskets & heads bolt direct ontop keeping them secured in the block from the top. Never fear they wont come out, this technique has been around a while now

Also does anyone have a parts list/price for making the engine future proof ie, the minimum that would be required to combat ringland failure/head gasket. I'd rather neutralise the problem before anything shows up and turns in to the price of a rebuild.

Yes, but I kept my changed my tyre size to avoid speedometer inaccuracy by keeping the circumference the same.

The ride is much more sensitive to the road conditions. Can be not so very nice sometimes, good on the road in most conditions, not so very good for kerbing come the snow and you cant see where the road or foot paths begin.

Oh yes, I noticed a 3mpg drop as the wheels were heavier, so if you're going for 18s try and go for light-weight, after all, its another inch of metal on the wheel so will be heavier.

The rim is bigger but the tyre profile is less. So it counter balances it.

Personally I prefer the ride on 17s as its noticeably softer and smoother over the crap roads round here. I want to know how you guys manage on 19s!

My 19's being is a harder ride over my 17s I use for winter. Tbh the 17s are a better ride. Cheaper for tyres but the car doesn't look as good as when on my GT2's ;-)

Nah pal they are Rota Force Drifts 9"

Are you running the SCC superchips maps? I had the 385S map on my 09 FRS was about 390/580 iirc with the 550cc injectors

Was a lovely car, and the torque was no problem FWD. I did however have a slight custom addition to my map to keep the standard torque limiter in 1&2 gear for safetys sake.

Thanks for the help guys,

Cant decide weather to go for gloss or matte black tho. Thought about going for the s206 look but on forums a lot of people advise not to go gloss.
