That's the plan Don, would be nice to have some peace of mind

Arron that is where I'm stuck at the moment, the car was rebuilt at 24k under warranty but just thinking it may be best.

there's still plenty of cars out there that haven't gone bang.

no official numbers can be confirmed on how many have gone pop.. in relation to how many have been sold.

you're always more likely to hear off issues than non issue cars.

It shouldn't put anyone looking at buying a 2008-10 hatch in 2013

It's a lottery with the engine failures Salsa and the odds are worse than pretty much any other late model car in the U.K. The Hatch is good in so many ways but it has a massive flaw and its cost Subaru a lot of future custom.

If your buying then forged has to be high on the check list. If its forged then you have the ingredients for a great car.

But you shouldn't have to finish off a car that retails at 30k. With correct maintenance and driving sympathy you should see 100,000 miles without any engine concerns. You simply cannot guarantee this on any Hatch.

It's scandolous really that Subaru have got away with it.

Well finally the rain stopped, I had time to take a quick snap and the car was clean, well sort of it is white!

Miss the Hatch but loving this just as much and the Recaros and goodies I never had on my MY08 are great, Mrs is not happy we no longer have heated seats though.

My old hatch was px'd at Pollitts, aka Exeter Subaru if anyone is looking for a good clean 08.

Hope you like.

it's a shame the MY11 didn't come in PURE White, the Satin White just doesn't do it for me

Front bumper does look aggressive though.

First wash of the year and first photo I've managed to take in the day light of my car with the STi17" (winter) Alloys

Aaron,

If you move the clips from the bottom to the top of the cargo net, I believe you can then fit it behind the seats in the saloon

Cheers Don, that will save me buying another, have you a close up of where you have fitted it, IIRC there are 2 round clips that you screw into the side trim in the boot on the hatch?

By moving the platic hooks to the top you just clip it to the seat retaining brackets.

The plastic clips comprise of 2 parts. Twist the lower section off to reveal the cord clamps. Gently open using a small screwdriver and then the bungee cord can be pulled clear.
Remove the lower section from the cord.

Fitting to the top loops is exact opposite.

As I said I use one behind the rear seat plus the pair available for the side wells.
These are available from UK dealers under the same part number as in this thread.......

Agree with you there mate it shocks me how many people jump In when someone puts up a thread about "I'm thinking of buying a hatch", and all the haters pop up, I'm glad I didn't listen and went for one as they are great cars

Hi all

I've resurrected a H&S group buy if anyone is interested, some very good savings to be had if anyone is looking for a new exhaust.
