Nothing like forward planning!

Here's a pic of Rob's car from earlier in the thread, same overlays, JDM cluster.

Cheers, Neil

I ended up joining Mark and getting an RS recently that has 20k on the clock. Fronts had just been replaced as running from new and put on the rear and the original rears now on the front with 5mm left. So not bad at all for 300bhp FWD imho. I think I will probably try some Vreds for comparison to the standard Contisport 3’s (£200 a corner) when the fronts need replacing. Seem to get some serious praise.

Damn that’s not good esp at the price of 19" tyres on the RS. I find the ride on the RS way softer than my CTR even with the eibach springs fitted but I still do the pothole/manhole cover slalom out of habit 

From memory my local council (Wokingham) even had an online pothole complaints form on their website so maybe worth checking with yours.

Getting my RS detailed next weekend. Was going to use that Heavenly chap off FocusRSoc.com but sorted out a more local guy in the end.

drift car likely only does a couple of laps then there Buggered mate lol

Once got told you only get what you pay for or buy cheap buy twice in some cases.

Dmack Track tyres are a very favourable option at the moment, tried and tested in the scottish rally championship.

Just got to say a big thanks to Rob for sorting my second year service, well worth the trip to Carlisle.

I was shocked to find the ECU update had not been done on my car, despite asking both at the time I collected the car new (July 2010) & when it had its first service (July 2011). The supplying dealer & the local dealer both said it had been applied.

I would highly recommend a trip to see Rob so that you know the person working on your car knows what they are doing!

Apparently the update was claimed to have been applied in late 2009 by the company which manages new vehicles on behalf of IM at Gloucester docks.

The dealer who sold me the car obviously didn't check that it had been applied by putting a laptop onto the ECU and reading what version of software was on the ECU, neither did the dealer who serviced my car last year, despite being asked if the update had been applied.

Rob put the laptop on just to ensure the update had been applied, guess what it hadn't!

Also I asked Rob to check wheel alignment whist he had my car, that was out on a couple of corners, despite never being kerbed or heavily run through pot holes.

I suspect PDI was a bit lax at the supplying dealer.

No problem at all Only too happy to help where I can.

I cant abide dealers who do a half arsed job of things it's frustrating to me I like everything to be right

If you need anything in the future don't hesitate to call/email/pm me

As David rightly said, the only way to check for sure is to plug the SSM3 diagnostic laptop in the car and check the PAK files on the flashwrite system.
It's no good relying on dealers saying its been done at the import center as often this is overlooked

Anyone got photos of a 2010MY STi hatch in Plasma Blue? Shame they done offer the STi in glazier or ice white, having seen Robs, white would be my colour of choice.

Now the price has dropped a bit £26995 is it for an STi? I could be temped by Recaro seats, standard engine map which seems not to destroy the engine, keyless entry, pushbutton start, 18" rims etc.

The face lift front end also looks better than the cluttered front of the 2008MY

Come on show me some pictures to temp me.

Mrs is saying that her Fiesta needs replacing with a new Skoda Yeti, but I have already told her the wait is too long for a new Yeti!

Rob I notice on the 2010 4dr STi you have for sale at work it has the windscreen heater element, does the 2010 hatch have that + heated door mirrors?
