didn't get a MetaSat text either to say battery Volts were low.

normally the car would be on a trickle conditioner charger but this week Its not been on so not a issue.

but come on.. saturday to friday and its flat.

My battery went flat after sitting with the radio on for an hour without the engine running I only knew when my phone got a Matesat message. I was layed up with a bad back for a couple of weeks and got a message after a couple of day of the car sitting on the drive as well. Time I think for a new battery

Any owners out there painted or wrapped the silver lip/wing bit on the front grill?

Got any pics as I'm thinking of doing mine today when I fit the zun sport top grill. Just wondered what it would look like particularly on a silver hatch

Second one, anyone removed the sti logo off the grill and got a picture?

Thanks in advance

From what I have read its the four plastic clips on the top of the grill then 4 screws located behind the grill but unfortunately my hands and forarms are to big to get in and undo them (unless ther s more flex than I feel comfortable with applying) so for me its a front bumper removal job. Not to much of an issue as I have a splitter to fit to.

Just mustering up the courage to start lol.

Few more parts on the way and I will pop some up to date pictures up

The OE batteries are ****!
I was so fed up with having to put my CTEK on just to get through the weekend of not being used.

I fitted a Bosch S5, which only cost me £49 from Costco Cardiff.
It's been fitted coming up to 2 years & I have just left it 18 days & it started like a dream, no slow cranking AT ALL

Is MesaSat working as normal yet?? Mine has been knackered for a while now, with no useful info or updates from Octotelematics!!!!!

Hi Don, you have a good point :-) never been good with reading them LOL
Maybe it's me but I can never get a clear reading off the dipstick the oil always seams to "drag" on the stick

Thanks for the info

Ok anyone who has fitted these rear o relays and has pulled it off Am) you are a better man than me and B) if I sent you a spare set of lights and the film how much do you want to fit them for me because I seriously must he dumb because I can't do it. Keep getting bubbles and creases all over the show on the outer lights. Lights on the boot no problem but the lights on the arch where they are straight, curved and beveled its a nightmare (well for me anyway) tried the soap and heat gun thing and still can't do it lol. Just glad I ordered two sets ;-)

Piece of cake fitting the overlays, took mine off the car and did it. Just warm the film and stretch it over with the aid of a misting of soapy water.

Any how after a slow start trying the over lays rather than be defeated i decided to sort the front out. so to fit were

Zun sport Lower grill
Zun sport Upper Grill
Bason R front lip spoiler
R205 fender badges
Red piping on grill
Carbon wrap the silver part of the grill
Smaller front number plate
STI metal badge

Removed the whole front bumper to make it all easier (removal is a piece of cake) took a look at a video on YouTube then off I went and in my opinion it looks a million times better, Had one small mishap with the STI logo on the grill as I broke the clips on the back trying to get the metal clamps off but decided to refit it over the zun sport logo and I think its worked out for the better.

Anyhow here it was before

and now with all the changes!

one of a closer shot of the tweaks

and the carbon wrap and red piping on the grill

Still undecided if I will paint the fog surrounds or leave them as is, dubious of how well it will fair up with stones chips etc but I'm not sure if it would be to much black and by leaving it silver it breaks up the front.

So next on the list will be the rally armor flaps which are on the way, ht autos skirt kit then I think I will almost be done for the exterior then on to the suspension or interior I haven't quiet decided yet.

Regards

Yes just the front replaced, and Tim at scoobyparts was cheapest.
