330s never came with gt2s as standard they were only ever available as an accessory.
Scooby Regular
The 330s came with 18" Lustic Silver alloys as standard. The GT2's being 'standard fitment' I'd imagine they mean they are a dealer fit option, not after market and bolt straight on without any clearence issues.
330s came with standard STI suspension setup/springs, however I'd imagine many were fitted with the Prodrive springs when new as a dealer fit option, at a cost to the original owner.
As I have and 08 STI with/without 330s wheels and Prodrive springs please see below.
Week I collected, 330s wheels and standard springs

330s wheels and Prodrive springs and geo settings

Without Prodrive springs

With Prodrive springs

18" ET35 Speedlines with Prodrive springs, its the lower offset that gives the lower appearence IMO.

IIRC, the Prodive springs dropped the front between 10mm/15mm and the back only by 5mm, however the overall effect was it looked a lot lower.
Hopefully the above gives you an idea as to what the stance is with various wheel and spring setups.
Cheers

right well deals done - picking up Saturday

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/4035159.htm
those that say I am mad - maybe but I have always wanted one and dealer made a great p/x deal on the hatch
over a grand more then subaru dealers were prepared to.
like for like the RS's are holding their value by 75% as to the hatch at around 30% so if I do get bored or turned off I wont loose any money.
I dont feel comfortable driving the hatch any longer but sad to see the car go but not the pain and anguish that the back up services deal with me as a customer.

Fair enough mate. Can’t blame you after recent events. Blue is nice - white better - green awful Originally Posted by rb5 286

Will be interesting to see how you get on. The FRS was one of the other hatchbacks on my shopping list but a bit too in your face even compared to the scoob and the interior is a bit basic. Certainly sound good though. Did you actually manage to get a decent test drive in before buying? You are not wrong about the depreciation difference (although surely not 30% for the scoob ??) but that doesn’t help us 2nd hand buyers. Your road tax will be about £200 cheaper a year as well

not driven this one but i have driven over 10 now ranging from standard to 450bhp
mountune 400bhp conversion is crap compared to the Jamsport equivalent.
Changing the lower air pipe to a full 3" bore all the way thru and a K&N cone filter.
jamsport power is through entire rev range and is stonkingly strong - the mountune is very weak in comparison and only starts higher in the revs when boost kicks in.
a change of tyre from the contis to dunlop sport also gives much more grip and lastly a Whiteline anti lift kit and 24mm rear ARB completes the handling
all this for £2k & no engine worries
I bought my hatch with all extras at £34k give or take new, 3 years later book price is £13k, so ok, not 30% but close.
and yes insurance and tax is less and there are ford dealers everywhere rather then a few dotted over the country!!!

also out of curiosity to any one who has had a failed engine. If it was replaced under the warranty do you receive any information, proof that this has been carried out?

I still haven’t driven one as when I was looking every ad had comments like “sorry no test drives unless deal agreed”. I thought that was just an issue when they were first coming out and dealers not wanting every tom dick and harry test pilot turning up for a blast.Originally Posted by rb5 286

Must admit those Jamsport 400 kits do look pretty impressive and the torque figures of 435lb/ft make the CS400 look tame.
The depreciation factor does make good sense. I’m surprised how good 2nd hand RS prices are considering how many are for sale. You could probably run one for a year and not lose much at all. Didn’t realise the incoming ST has dropped to a 2 litre engine. The T5 2.5 is the majority of the character in the current ST and RS. Next they will be playing sound effects of the old 5 pot into the cabin ala BMW

After a bit of a discussion at last nights club meet about harnesses with Mark, He mentioned there was a fella who used to deal with them in carlisle, Anyhow I searched the internet and found a chap called Steve Bennett of sabelt uk so I dropped him and email and found he was closer than first thought North lakes industrial estate just out of penrith at Flusco.
So I got a price and ordered them this morning & said I'd send mother & father in armed with cash to pick them up. Job sorted by 1.45pm today we had them.

First stumbling Block, No-one makes m10x1.25 pitch eye bolts. Anyhow by a bit of handywork with a die wrench we were at m10 from a 7/16 unf thread

Anchor points fitted on the seat rails to the floor

Rear anchor points fitted and clipped in

set up ready for fine tuning and adjustment

Job done

Looks good Rob, but you absolutely must fit a harness bar!!! The STi seat frame is nowhere near strong enough on its own and will collapse in the event of an accident rendering the harness null and void. Safety first matey!

Those rear mounting points are through the floor into the chassis the seat frame is just in the middle of it, so technically its not to the seat base, I assume your meaning the rear of the seat not being rigid enough to stay upright. The rear mount points are bolted through the cars chassis section on the main strengthening points. seems all rigid enough and the eyebolts are torqued down to spec.
