Cannot work this out at all, how the heck do you leave your parking lights on when keys out of the ignition, can't see anything in manual?
Cheers

Cheers Rob, did try that but the interior is also illuminated like a Christmeas tree, my old Hawk had a seperate switch on top of the steering column cowl which just lit the side lights, perhaps a cost saving effort for the Hatch, must have been a list a Yen!!!

Cheers

Probably becuase there is no room for IC water spray tank in the boot (fold down rear seats) and because the impact on performance of removing it is marginal (unless you are on track a lot). There are aftermarket kits about if you want/need one, but a few I have seen use water from the windscreen washer bottle which would be no good for me...

Rally Armour Flaps.

Mine should be here in a day or two and I keep seeing cars with them fitted where they stick out loads from the arch, perhaps its just the angle of the pics I have seen but can anyone who has a set please confirm, I've gone for black and if they do infact stick out more than I want I may have to mod them sligyhtly if possible,
Cheers

This was my concern and they do stick out but you don't notice it - to be fair though mine is dark grey with black flaps. You can trim them but the advice I received was that you want them to protrude to stop the stones hitting the panels in front of the rear wheels. If you have gone for the expensive ones Posty might ask you for some more money - import and handling charges (rip off).

They are meant to stick out to protect the side of the car from stones.

Default AST's

Having gone over from the Tein lowering springs on the standard dampers to the AST's a few weeks ago now I can report as follows:

1. The spring rates and ride height look and feel about the same but the quality/feel of the rebound and damping is superior...they still give quite a 'hard' ride though
2. General handling/control in fast corners has increased making the car easier to drive faster point to point
3. Overall has improved the handling, but the standard dampers with lowering springs look and feel very similar for day to day driving (i.e. when not on the raggedy edge)

So to sum up I would definetly recommend the AST's, but have to say with a decent geo and supporting Whiteline parts the lowering springs still offer a good value for money while you are saving up for some coilovers...

It is common knowledge that the hatch STI is the end result of a Mazda 3 and a Vauxhall Astra VXR having a drunken night out, that ended up in the corner of a dark pub car park

Default old wheels for new hatch ...

What did you do with the wheels / tyres the car came with?

I avoided getting the 18"'s as I would have to pay near £2000 and have a new set of 17's I had no use for!!!

You can see the on the accessory section of the subaru website or on the prodrive website. Obviously I really like them
