10th & 12th item on this page mate. but be aware you could incur import duty but would still be cheaper
Do the GP N hubs have the same splines as the std drive shaft, or do you need GP N drive shafts?

Same spline configuration to that of a std car, just the shaft is stronger in the group N than the std road car

Definite improvement Rob. D'you get humped for duty or d'you get away with it . . . . . again?!

Just need to change your red flaps for black now. Did you manage to work something out with Rigged to that end?

Cheers, Neil

Not so good then, PF's admin charge is a joke. £13.50 charge just to let you know they've charged you!

You pay £13.50 to PF so they can present the parcel to CUSTOMS who charge you the VAT That's why its called an Administration charge.

The £13.50 only applies to EMS (Express 24 equivalent)

If they sent it snail mail (Express 48) it would only cost you £8.50 but wait a hell of a lot longer............

Black on white looks good Rob..........

How are they fitted, and how much from japan parts?

Hi Neil,
I've been looking at these as well, if you want to order 2 sets I'll split the cost? I can pick them up from you when I'm on days.
Paul.

Cheers Rob, had found these - used Japanparts before for R205 bits, these seemed to come in a pair and had different part numbers.
I want them like those you pictured so the right part!

Wondered if they were in different colour or something.

I have 50% sucess rate with our customs friends so far...!

Thanks

Technically the door card needs to come off to unplug the mirror from the door loom, but I found that if you un clip the tweeter and pull the top piece of the door card towards yourself just under where the tweeter goes it will give you enough access with a trim tool to un clip the plug and then simply remove the 3 bolts which hold the mirror onto the door.

Guys,

On my 330S, I've noticed more soot then usual at the tail pipe exists.
What's the cause of this? (read on SN about over fueling being a cause)
Car was given its 2nd year service recently for what its worth.

Maybe a little too much oil put in at the service which it is burning off? Check your levels.

being that there are some very knowledgeable owners of the hatch in here i was wondering and this may seem a little silly question but did Subaru make any changes to the 2.5 block come the 2010 model?

obviously the 2.5 has some reported issues but I was under the impression that it was more on the earlier 08 engine. Just seen a nice 2010 sti 330s and was wondering if it would be a better idea to go for a later edition car, it has had a rebuild but I think just with standard components under warranty (awaiting to find out)

thanks

AFAIK the 2010 cars had the same engine as the 2008, however with a revised map, that I know for the standard STI but not sure if PPP cars were ever given an updated map and I know of a few PPP cars that have gone pop.

Sure Rob will be along in a mo if he has finished polishing!!!

Well even the 2008-2010 cars were supposed to be have had a reflash to solve the problem (that didn’t exist) but not sure how that was done ie only on request?

I’ve not heard of any 2011 cars go pop but then we are still early doors and not the type of car that people tend to do high mileage in.

I personally prefer the look of the 2011 front end (yes you can change it but at cost) and you get the benefit of a longer warranty hopefully. I note that Rob said to keep off the rev limiter as they don’t like it. Might be trickier for me as currently driving a Civic Type R – in my last 320R test drive I hit the limiter as so used to ragging the VTEC.

Far to easy to hit the limiter when running in "Sport #"

Before I bought my 330S, I contacted Prodrive(actually I contacted a person that used to work there) re:updates.
They/he said that the 330S map didn't need an update.

Basically I missed out n a nice 08 sti with a forged block last weekend but have come across a 2010 plate 330s (fancy the nicer seats and few toys plus resale value), has 26k (rebuild at 16k standard parts under warranty) still on the standard factory map and was cautious over the failures as i really don't need to have the headache if it ever went pop again as i would have to forge it at a cost to me. it is still under warranty and i may be able to get an extra year on it to.

just I have had plenty of classics and a mk1 type 25 so time for a new shape, well to me anyway. hence looking at the hatch or possible 06/07 hawk. I gather the earlier 2.5 from the hawk had the same issues?
