how easy are they to apply?
btw..
I've ordered a set of L/R wheel arch liners from Burrells Subaru of Doncaster, very good club discount
seeing that mine had been cut for some reason.
This way I get the underside back looking neat.. with no more tie clips

Put it this way, I'm definatly not the most patient person in the world when it comes to viynls but they were a piece of cake easier taking the lamps off the car as you can ensure its wrapped around the back of the lamp properly and they sit on the table a treat.
I cleaned the lamp first with isopropyl wipes, then applyed a mild soapy water to the lamp and aligned the viynl and using a little heat from a hair dryer I stretched them on with ease and pressed any excess water out from under the overlay.
Not sure why yours would be cut to be honest, unless at some point the clips had been broken off & the wind caught them and folded them back into the wheel damaging it, so they had to be cut to get rid of the bad part. I have seen that happen on one occasion. To be honest whoever cut them needs shot.

yep, just like my situation.
This sort of thing winds me up cus there's no need for it and I'm now down
£56+VAT each on something I shouldn't be needing to buy.
(I did get a discount at Burrell's so I've not paid the full price of £56+vat per arch).
Have you any tips on how to re fitthe new and remve he old? I take it the wheels need to come off to make it easier to re fit?

DCCD / diff question.
330S.
Before xmas I found that on turning into a parking space, so near full lock, I felt the front wheels "skip" as i turned at slow speed.
A bit like when the DCCD is on full manual and the rears skip on a 90 degree turn at slowish speeds.
But I was in DCCD auto mode.
IS that a problem?
I had 17" 070's fitted on the STi 17" wheels and they were skittish / twitchy in use in the cold.
Got some winter tyres Yoko W.drive and feels much better.
SO I thik it may have been the tyres not being flexible enough at 3 degrees c ?
By the way, a couple of pages back there was a Q about diff failing and a reply mentioned if the gearbox oil is the wrong one .... the viscous LSDs are sealed units so gearbox oil shouldn't affect it; not sure on mechanical LSD if they sit in g'box oil if these cars have front mechanical diff though.

I am needing a new set of discs and pads, should i stick to the standard oem stuff or take the opportunity to fit a set of uprated items?
Car is still pretty standard, but i sometimes feel the brakes could be better.

Hi have got my car back but due to a couple of reasons pat only mapped it up to 1.2bar temporarily until a couple of jobs get completed. when running the car in the idol was terrible and stalling was quite a regular occurence. i asumed this would be fixed when the car got mapped and it has defo improved but i have still stalled a couple of times when pulling up at junctions. i have had the ecu tek racerom installed so i belive it does away with the mass air flow sensor? i have also been told that cars over 400bhp dont want one anyhow? anyway what i would really like to know is any of you guys with the racerom have problems with a low idol/ stalling? and if not is it just a problem with the map?? help!! cheers
