We have a scoob down!!! I'll post pics later, lets just say a 4x4 needs to learn what his side of the road is. Luckly damage is limited to 2 wheels (now fubar'd).

Hopefully back on the road by Friday.

err got me there. I think there is only 1 roll bar on the 08 STI and it is the whiteline upgrade as used in the Type 20 set up.

I've just looked on the Litchfield site and they only list uprating the rear bar, strange as Whiteline show a thicker 22mm front (20mm standard) and 20mm rear (18mm standard) on their project car. The pics show it as an adjustable bar but nothing about the size.

I'm looking for 22mm adjustable front and rear so if it's the 22mm adjustable then let me know what price you're looking at?

Thanks,
Paul.

Well as promised, the pics from my little inncident in Wales.

I was driving down this road and met a 4x4 coming the other way and too far over for both cars to pass, so I took evasive action.

The evasive action took me into contact with this,

For a 30 - 35 mph contact, I can't believe the damage to the wheel, that rock be granite.

simon: ouch!!! i hate it when u get ***** that cant stay on their side of the road and make you have to swerve out the way, its always at that point where there is a big rock, huge pothole or big kerb waiting on the left for you!!

glad u got wheels sorted.

Good news is the steering is still straight!!! Given the car a check over this morning and all apart from the whels seems ok. Looks like I ran straight over the rock, so as soon as the wheels are here I'll be back on the road.

That was unlucky mate, glad you got it sorted. Same thing happened to me on the way to Goodwood Festival of Speed, had to go right up/over a grass bank to avoid a Freelander, luckily for me no rocks that time...

Hi guys

Yeh I've been speaking to Iain over the past couple of days (very helpful as always) to get the work sorted for my car before the meet.
I only live an hour and a quarter from them, so I thought I'd head over and get my work sorted before the meet so the ramps would be free for people traveling from further afield who only want to make the journey once
Hopefully looks like they are free on Monday, so I'll have the day off work to go over. I'm most excited.......... quite sad really I suppose

I'm getting: Prodrive springs + fitting
Positive traction bushes fitted (I already have these)
Powerflex ALK + fitting
Steering feel adjusted
4 Wheel alignment
Oil and filter change

On the day of the hatch meet (which I also cant wait for) I may also get a cossy panel filter and the rubber strip to go under the front splitter, hopefully that will get on next months credit card bill

I have also finished making my new undercar exhaust system a few weeks ago, I have a vid and some pics so will post them up

Paul that Litchfield rear bar should be the 22mm version. I spoke to Iain at Litcho about the anti roll bars setup and he said he would not recommend uprating the front as it counter acted the effect of upgrading the rear. Stiffening the rear roll bar will help to induce more oversteer as the front/rear ratio has changed. If you then stiffen the front aswell the ratio becomes the same, or very close to orriginal again. Just some food for thought.
Does depend on how you want it to feel tho. You could probably set the front to the soft setting to increase the ratio. I'm sure there are many opinions on this but I thought Litchfield probably knew better than me so I'm rolling with that.
