Nice looking car and suspension setup you gone for

I have a brand new, boxed wheel that matches yours if you interested in a spare?

oooooooh, see I'd seen yours and that why i wanted to go a bit smaller, as when you have less letters, you end up with more gap/space.

what size is the front and rear plates, are they the standard legal sizes?

Thanks
Arron

Yeah Just the same as the OE ones, just prefill it first, small amount of oil on the seal and tighten it up, Job sorted

Heard about this problem, but hoped it was a one off
I don't suppose it was because the filter wasn't quite tight enough ??

Bit worried as mine ticks over (cold) at 120psi and with slight revs (1500) gets to 135psi. I usually let it warm up a bit (oil to 35C ish) on idle to try to prevent seal failure.

Does the K&N alternative filter have better seals/different design Rob ?

Unfortunatly the filter was as tight as any other, I just think that some filters arnt quite pressed right I'm not sure. I have just never really had any faith in these new filters they just look cheap and tacky .

Mine tics over at around 110 psi and jumps to 120psi at about 1500
I just drive mine below 2000rpm until the oil comes up to 50c

the K&N seems to just be a better filter, looks allot stronger too seal seems the same though

Cheers Rob, just coming up to an oil change so will try a K&N.

I had a filter split around the top pressed/folded over join and lost the bulk of my oil on the underside of the engine (back in 05) - took it back to the Subaru garage where I bought it (Chelmsford) and they gave me a replacement ! great ! Didn't seem bothered I could have blown my engine had I not noticed the sudden smell of v hot oil fumes and immediately stopped to investigate, and weren't interested in helping clean the underside of the engine/car.

Forgot to ask Arron/Rob if there is a discount shop for the K&N filter ?

both seem cheap to me - but then the last time I bought and fitted an oil filter was to my Escort RST mk2 18 years ago!!! hang on, did i just say 18 years!!!

**** me!!!! thats a loooong time ago.

is anyone interested in buying the mid level rear spoiler (as fitted to the Cosworth)

I've changed my mind about fitting a c/f one, costs r just gonna be to high so I dont need this any more.

£195 posted

Its brand new, just been sent to Simon so his mate could take a look for moulding it in carbon the fixing template and all fixings are still unused.

Always use Crosland 672 oil filters on all my Subaru builds, inc GRP A rally cars etc, never had an issue with them, plus there not expensive & they make filters for most car manufacturers.

what's the connections in the centre arm rest on this 330s I pick up next week,

it has the phono jack?
so i can plug m MP3 into it to get the sound through the stereo (but you can't control it off the head unit)

those RED/YELLOW/WHITE type connections, what do you put through those?

I'm a bit concerned about there payment method, its dealt through sagapay and when you go to put the credit card details in the page doesn't seem to secure itself?

Hi mate, the price I paid was as it was a group buy from the detailingworld forum, give them a call and say you'd like to get the group buy price, think the majority of the saving was as postage was free.

As for payment I paid through paypal as a gift payment.

Very good service but think they are quite busy and had/have limited Internet at the moment.

Cheers
A
