The climate control works fine on mine.... set it to AC on, set fan to auto, only blows when engine warmed up and cabin below set temp, say set at 22 then reduce to 18 it adjusts to that temp.

I usually have it on 1 or 2 speed for fan and on COLD and to face and then flick to 20 deg to feet when I want to warm up...

There was some "fix" on here or GR Hatch forum about holding the air con button in for 5 seconds until it flashes twice to set up REAL climate control .... I tried it and it did, maybe thats why mine works ok??
Although I think mine did work OK anyway!

How does that rear wing attach?

BTW I've got some Harman motive dark tints (black) for the rear light clusters if you want them Carl.

http://www.aqmotorsports.com/harman-...ay-p-2285.html

Cost me £80 to import but I'd accept £35...

they do not match the midnight blue mine is...but would suit the grey/black

If you're interested pm me.

Ive had scoobyclinic to do it, along with a stack of other jobs (including forged pistons, remap, new exhaust). They said the wing was a biatch to fit but they've got it on for me.

Imexdesigns are popping them out for £427 inc vat and delivery, then another £300 to paint and fit (inc vat) from scoobclinic.

As for those tints mate, Id love to have them, but Ive got zero patience, would end up wrecking it and Im totally skint (Ive spent nearly 9 grand on the car and I only had it February this year) so I wont be doing ANYTHING to it for at least a year, need to get that credit card paid off.

Mine does the Mutley impersonations too - is your dump valve blanked off. That's what makes mine chatter (I believe its the turbo stalling on over-run when changing up)

Hi Lee,
Still on 450BHP/430ft-lbs on a steady 1.5 bar, (which is only 10BHP more than it gave at 1.2 bar) which is disappointing with the spec. In theory it should give about 480 and I hoped for an easy 460 at <1.6 bar. Current thinking is there may be a problem with the ecu as it won't rev to >7krpm. Booked in on Nov5th for ecu to be "looked at" and hopefully the issues sorted. Will update the journal on GR forum after we know what is happening after the 5th.

Stan, I'm interested to see you went for the LM480 TS from Iain?

Did you have to change the whole manifold to a JDM then?

Did you not want to try the Billet? They're getting 500 all day long with the 2.5's

Needed different d/pipe (Miltek) and t/scroll up-pipe (RCMS system) + I love the sound of equal length headers !
Thought the Litchfield t/scroll 480 would spool up better + I don't want 500BHP.
Initial idea was to chase numbers and 500 seemed a nice round one, but it seems that the 2.5 will not last as long as I hope at 500, so plan B was a comfortably achievable 480 to be decreased to about 460 (at hopefully < 1.6 bar) for a little longer engine life.
I am optimistic the 460 target will be achieved once the glitch with the ecu/map is resolved.

Didn't realise that "they" were getting 500 easily with the new 2.5 engine (with the poorer flowing, smaller valved heads).

Default Hi Stan

Stan I understood the issue with your car was the Cossie intercooler dumpvalve position being on the 'wrong side'... So thats been sorted ? and remapped for just another 10bhp - thats weird mate.

Also dont forget that your figures are on Enginetuners conservative rollers...

You'll get another 10% on ab motorsport's rollers (Scoobydazza went from 437 to 478 bhp just by going from Alans to another rr).

Apparently Delta dash figures give similar readings - up to 5 -10% more than rolling roads. So your 450 at Enginetuner 'will' make 490+ on other rollers - and thats not too shabby... Maybe the actual figure is somewhere between the two - ie LM 480.

I guess its all about how it drives, as figures mean nothing in reality - did you read about the classic with 340 running 11's - who needs big numbers....

When does the turbo spool from, and full boost by when ?

Regardless Stan - your car is a legend in the time its been on holiday in Devon waiting on Cosworth... and very nice it is now too.

Al the best mate ... enjoy.

A

Hi A,
Its puzzling, but will hopefully get some answers on the 5th. Figures were very similar on my local RR to Enginetuners. Will post graphs later.

Looking good Carl

Just have to run the engine in now. Its got a 4000rpm limit to about 80mph. Whoooooah. Makes a hell of racket though should be upto 340bhp in two weeks

What intercooler are you running?

Ask your mapper to check your air charge temperatures next time he has the laptop coupled up.

Hi Harvey,
Don't think its an air charge temp problem.
Cossie FMIC with the DV on the "hot" side and bleeding pressure, so we couldn't get more than 1.2 bar, so is now blanked off. I don't rate the Cossie FM for many reasons
DV position, pipe routing makes filling the washer bottle a pain, tiny core compared to th earea it could have been etc etc But it seems to work OK at this level.

Probs makes little difference but after talking to andy f regarding front mounts I'm fitting a perrin one. various reasons being pipework routing and the core itself. rates them very good from the conversation

The BOV should be on the cold side as everybody knows and fairly close to the throttle body/manifold.
