08/09 Hatches, Stand up and show yourselves!!!
Just fitted my new Kenwood DDX-5024 with a JDM AV panel (cheers Al
), last years model so got it for a good price. Also fitted the steering wheel control harness.... very happy with it so far. As i've read the standard speakers aren't bad at all, its the naff head unit that's the week link.

Will be adding bluetooth at some point and may even consider a rear view camera. Nav doesn't really interest me unless the i get a bargain unit.
Tony.

That's a softish plastic and pretty flexible! I would imagine if any impact had happened perhaps something stuck on your tyre you would of noticed the 'bang'. Why would it break there though?
thats what I'm so confused about!!!
how did it happen, i could understand if it were something like I had dropped off a kerb, ripping it back or something like that but I dont do that in the scoob as its low front end and for something like that to have happened I would have certainly heard it happen!!!
It fukin annoying tho as the entire time I'm driving is banging and rattling!!!! not to mention rubbing on the tyre!!!

Only an idea but is the splitter attached to that at all, maybe the liner had a small crack to start with and the downforce of the splitter has pulled it apart?
My splitter it attached to the bottom of the bumper but the same mounting points also hold the arch liner IIRC.

Spotted you tonight just coming onto the A13 at Lodge Ave, was on the bike.
Got the car today, very pleased, sitting on the drive as on holiday for the next week so just got the bike (we tow it behind our motorhome)
Did you get the liners fitted?

well I am FOOKING PISSED OFF BIG TIME
1: the part sent is wrong!!!

2: I found the cause of the cracking liner.
note the new one has a mounting hole bottom left of pic, this should mount to the underneat of the bumper

as you can see from this pic, a big slice is missing!!!

Some tosser at Subaru (when they had my car in for the warranty work) has obviously cut the liner to allow access to the tow eye cover
I know it wasnt the recovery vehicle man as the car had to be reversed onto the low loader both times!!!!

quite a lot missing, its a clean cut so deffo done on purpose, the result is that 2 fixing points are missing. therefore the air has forced the liner to go back on its self and stress, the result the crack that has happened.
so 2 hours waste of time, had to re-fit the broken one but gave me a chance to repair it and secure it well now!!!

and the ****ing clips that are used to hold it in place, what a load of ****

thankfully I had plenty of spare from previous Subaru's

Ok, has anyone noticed that the stalks on their steering column sit at different heights, noticed this morning that the right stalk it at more of an angle than the left stalk and sits higher up?
OK - my turn.
Does anyone else think the heater temperature is a bit weird?
