HAs SN taken a step backwards with the ADULT section
everyone breathe
Jeez! all this fuss over something that most cannot even see
Tam mate, I have loved your threads throughout my time here and you have made me chuckle on so many occasions but if you feel that strongly about the new section, dont keep posting to tell us your leaving SN just go, its like you are waiting for someone to try and talk you out of it
Personally I have no problem with the adult section and I would have to say I am a supporter of it but I do agree with 84of300 in that there should be a blokes section and a womens section within the adult forum and perhaps a unisex section also where we can all get together for a bit of banter
bigsinky, I understand that the novelty factor is there right now with the new adult section and I like wimins as much as the next red blooded male but plastering the section with thread after thread of nudie ladies is a bit excessive really, there is no banter that can be had off the back of those threads and as others have said I can see images like that by switiching off the safe search in google or going into my favorites. Yes ok so I posted a couple of pics initially off the back of the novelty factor but I removed them not long after as after a rethink I felt there was no need for them
as for doing away with the adult section and dumping the content in Fight Club, I would have to vote no. I am a paid up member and have access to the new adult section but I do not have access to Fight Club as there is an extra suscription charge to gain access, but I dont feel the need to whinge and moan that I cannot get access, I dont feel I am missing anything in FC so it does not bother me it is there
Just my thoughts

I just feel that SN is going down the road of "chavviness" and this is the first step. Next we'll have the "Max Power" forum where scantily clad ladies rub their **** into the the windscreens of various Halrfords shop window chavved up scoobs. Great! So tasteful...
My solution to it is to put it in a section further down the page where you have to work at getting to it. I am ashamed to actually be part of a "community" which thinks posting pics of false titted women with shaved pussies and videos of head being given is acceptable. Yes it says you have to be 18 to go in there, but like most of us, I leave my name logged in and anyone in my house could see those pics. I really do not want my daughter to think she has to live up to this in a few years! Just think if you've got daughters yourself, would you be comfortable her seeing that?
Anyway, I'm not going to threaten to leave, not that anyone would miss me anyway
but please powers that be, reconsider. This is severely lowering the tone of what I thought was a good forum with intelligent people on.

There are a lot and I mean a lot of funny people on SN and I would enjoy the adult banter and craic than looking at some shaved flange in real close up.

now that I don't agree with. my patner's ex husband caught her 10 year old on red tube a few weekends ago. he is really careful, yet she knew where to go, knew how to create a username and password and log on. i appreciate that netnanny, safesurf et al can go some way to preventing this sort of thing but unsupervised net access for younger children it think should be a no no.

That sort of proves my point that cleansing NSR wont stop the determined kids from seeing grot, just that some people are using that, as one of a few bad excuses in my humble opinion, to remove BOTW etc!

I'm not saying my daughter would use the PC, she has no interest in it when there's a telly with CBBC on it
It is making stumbling across **** very easy if it's in the first box of a very popular car forum.
BOTW was OK, I have nothing against people (men mainly) wanting to look at scantily clad ladies, but they do generally have most of their lady bits covered in those threads.

its not the cleansing of NSR that i was on about it's the buying of a separate laptop for your kids and allowing them to use it unsupervised. let me tell you BOTW is nothing compared to what my partner's daughter was watching. she is 10 years old FFS. these tech savvy kids can run rings around their parents when it comes to covering their tracks. what gets me is that she knew where to go to get this stuff. do kids at this age think about these things now. i know when i was 10 i knew **** all about women and the only girl i loved was my mum.

There's some sick people out there that prey on their naivety (although it does unfortunately include kids not being supervised who are doing the actual coercing ).

Can I have compensation from you for introducing the lovely Nixs and then letting her leave the country? Broke my heart, that did!

Good evening folks...
My, what have I started here? Please allow me to deal with certain questions first, and we can maybe proceed from there:
Why has it appeared?
It may well shock you to know that it has nothing to do with revenue generation or any other conspiracy theories, it has come about for two good reasons, the first and foremost being that a substantial amount of members have requested it, many personally. Secondly, I don't like the web team having to clean up slightly risqué topics when the contents are borderline, so now instead of deleting topics we can move them to the adult forum, its a nice compromise.
Also, the forum is not intended only for pornographic material and it intrigues me why anyone has just assumed this? There are a great many topics that can be deemed as adult that are not at all pornographic and are indeed very interesting to a great many community members.
Why now?
Again, you will find its for none of the reasons Ive seen suggested thus far. The reason it appeared now is because I have got to this job in my to do list that I made early this year. Nothing more sinister than that. My jobs to do thus far list was public (Link Here) and here is an extract of work done from it...
All those items are done and the next item on the list was to trial an adult orientated room. I have now done this too. I apologise to the conspiracy theorists. My list, as you can see was very public and nobody commented on it then, making me presume there were no particular issue with my future plans...
Why paying members only:
I simply want to give those whom do pay more privileges. I'm not sure why anyone would have an issue with this.Ive not taken anything away from anyone. i have simply added another benefit for existing and future paying members. Also, it adds as a small shield against access for non regular members whom maybe minors and a great shield against spam bots whom target adult forums with ferocious intensity.
Can the thread titles be hidden from the index.
Yes and this will be done as soon as the web team get some time to do it. Ive requested it be accessed via a HTML landing page in the same way that fight club works.
Why is it in the community section?
Again, this is an easy one,. Its in the community section because sometimes I can be a complete *** and not think things through properly. Its now hidden away right down at the very bottom of the forum. Sorry.
Why can members who cant access it even see it?
They cant now. Why could they previously? See answer above.Sorry.
Why is it mixed sex? Why not separate men and women?
This is actually how it works over on PassionFord and it works really well there, however, we see no easy way to segregate the male and female paying members of ScoobyNet, making it extremely hard to achieve the same results as we did on PF which had male/female membership from the start as I had this type of thing in mind when I instigated the payment schemes.
Stu doesn't care and its all about the money.
Contrary to popular opinion I do have the members interests at heart and I do want you all to be happy. I want to enjoy SN as much as you do. However, those of you whom think I have a hidden commercial agenda please consider this; The commercial and public sides of a web forum are interlinked in my opinion and experience because no matter which way you try and paint the picture, a web forum will only generate any revenue if its members are happy and actively generating traffic and purchasing from its sponsors. An unhappy community is an unprofitable one as far as advertising goes.
I hope this clears up any confusion and gives rise to some decent discussion and maybe even helps us to come up with something to improve things around here.

Rather than worrying about restricting access to members of that specific sex, how about creating the sub sections and trusting the adults in the adult section to stick to and post in their own sections, with a third section for mixed sex banter?
ScoobyNet used to have a shop so maybe it is time to bring one back?
It could sell all sorts of useful things like f4nny flannels, **** towels, **** cloths and the like. Maybe a once a month special deal on a box of 15 reflective w4nk socks for the most active members too?
It has to be a winner, yeah?

Thanks for moving it, at least it makes it harder to find for people who shouldn't be seeing stuff. Still, some of the content is not appropriate for a car forum, but you can't have everything, can you?
Clare - I can seriously see it settling down into a forum which deals with themes that can't be easliy discussed in an open forum like this one. By open I mean one that can be viewed by anyone of any age.
It's a bit of a kid in a sweetshop situation at the moment
but I don't think that will last. As I (and every other member of the web team) have said - it's not a **** shop just somewhere where the rules are relaxed.
Now I'm just going to go and find my bag of motivational posters I stuck somwhere

Let's hope so, but thank God it's moved. I like to think I am part of this "community", but wouldn't want to be if the sort of thing that was being posted in there was going to continue within the "community" section.
I dont have a postcard but hows this?

Although sex isn't the only thing this section revolves around, it certainly plays a part. Other than the issues of trying to split it, I also put forward that splitting it (restricting access) could cause it's own set of issues. I'm no PC slave, but I respect that there are all sorts of people possibly on here, what about people who like a bit of both? Or those who are gay? To separate the section based upon sex, could in effect isolate users imo. It may not be a major issue, but I think it should be taken into account. Also, especially after all the fuss for just having the section, and issues regarding it, and the love of some peoples just to moan, I could almost bet my life, if we split it, those who consider themselves to have 'access all areas' through SN+, would twist if we locked them out of an area, even if it was of no interest.
Tbh, I think you have hit the nail on the head re. adults being responsible (and adult) enough to stick to where they want to be within this section. This still applies to a point without even creating sub sections.
Put it this way, if NS04 posted a thread of a pornographic nature, I could pretty much say, I wouldn't bother with it (I'm not into **** and ***)
It's not too difficult to work out what is aimed at whom, so just use a bit common not to look at something that's not for you.
[quote=bigsinky;8679821]
I really don't think you need to apologise, It is a significantly important subject which affects the whole standing of SN.
