Hi mate, I have actually lost track of the amount it cost! including buying the car I think its almost at 47/50k.

Not really an Evo fan but this looks good. Dyno graph looks like the car will be drivable on the road i.e. not a big spike in power at certain revs and it seems to hold over 400ft lbs of torque for a good spread of the rev range.

You are right mate the spread of torque is amazing and makes for an excellent drive. The day I picked up the car the MAF sensor failed... now with that replaced its been a few days of pure enjoyment... its bloody fast! Graphics, magazine feature should be happening over the next two weeks then its down to the 1/4 mile

All the best guys,
GUM

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the bump back to the top

Well the car was featured in MLR's Wastegate Chatter magazine and has set the fastest lap since the magazine started using the meclaren test track in Chobham.

Some pics from the wastegate chatter feature:

The car was also featured in REDLINE MAGAZINE, some shots of the day:

Soon after this feature we were back on dyno for some more testing... we pushed boost very far and as a result managed to make the alloy block sleeves distort causing loss of headgasket seal

However the aim was to develop... this time we decided to ditch the stock frame turbo and develop our own turbo kit, fuel sytem and ductile ironed sleeved block Heres some snaps:

standard sleeves vs new (bottom image):

The spec is immense this time around and the car is yet to be complete... rough spec below... I have missed a few things out:

TRL RACE SPEC HEAD
JUN 272 MIVEC CAMSHAFTS
BRONZE VALVE GUIDES
1MM OVERSIZE EXHAUST+INTAKE VALVES (RACE SPEC)
TITANIUM RETAINERS
DUEAL VALVE SPRINGS
NEW STEM SEALS
COSWORTH HEADGASKET

TRL RACE SPEC BOTTOM END
TRL SLEEVED BLOCK
JE FORGE PISTONS
CARRILLO H BEAM RACE SPEC RODS WITH CARR BOLTS
COSWORTH BEARINGS
BAFFLED SUMP

TRL RACE FUEL SYSTEM (YET TO COMPLETE)
EXEDY TRIPPLE PLATE CLUTCH
TRL STAGE 3 GEARBOX

AND SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH MORE! will update thread once build complete, we have opted for taller gearing and are going to attempt some top speed plus 1/4 mile records.

Kind regards,
GUM
