Good point DevilDog.

I did some data logging with vag-com prior to the car going in and worked out the approximate bhp figure calculated by dividing my peak MAF reading by 0.8 which gives you a rough but surprisingly accurate guide - it came in at 418bhp.

Dyno results on their own are only useful to compare before an afters, or direct car to car comparisons on the same RR with the same settings and operator - another than that they mean sweet FA really.

The RS4 has 3 diffs and there is evidence to suggest RR's can upset the ESP so who knows... the only thing i do know for sure is exactly what I’ve gained.

Thumbs up

Awesome car & great write up! You're a lucky man

Glad to hear that +50bhp can appear from not much work.

sounds like a bit of a beast mate. What colour is the rs4 btw, it must have been at MRC about the same time my b5 s4 was. Glad doug and the guys were able to sort you are, they are top blokes and i would not take my car anywhere else.

As an e92 M3 owner I did look at the B7 RS4 before deciding which V8 to get. Having test driven 3 of each car I can confirm that the BMW has a much stronger standard engine! Both cars are quoted as being 414Bhp which clearly the Audi isn't. I would be if I had purchased an RS4. However, they are both great cars and i'm sure pippyrips RS4 will now keep up with an M3. LOL.

For further proof of stock HP look at this vid from approx 1:25. YouTube - m3e90board.com: BMW M3 E92 V8 vs Audi RS4, both standard

RS4 blows M3 away on looks alone! IMHO (No offense intended)

Current shape M3 looks great though apart from nasty exhaust "boxes" when looking at rear end Especially in white
