Wow, going great guns Gus! Your spec is a bit more laity than mine with fully worked heads, cams and the larger turbo. So I'm not expecting anywhere near that. Sounds amazing though. Best of luck

Whoops...
There was no way i could bring myself to bolt up the bumper with the intercoolers paint finish annoying me.
This was taken earlier when i started, it was dark by time id finished. The whole core is back to bare metal now. Hopefully if the weather holds, tomorrow i might get some etch primer on it.

Came from APS in a silver powdercoat which I didn't like. So I dusted it in anthracite. Since she's sat for the last 3 years the paint had started to bubble. Nothing bad, just a little but it annoyed the hell out of me lol. So now I've stripped her back to bare ally.
I wet flatted it last night and left it to dry in the sun today. Later I'll hit it with some Upol acid etch primer. Then a very light dust of satin black. Trick is to paint the cooler but get as little paint as possible on the cooling fins.
Hopefully should look a bit better when I'm done.

I've got a perrin intercooler in black that I'm touching up at the moment, got it off here but there were a few chips on the front and the paint was peeling a little in a few places, not enough for a full repaint so I've taken off the flaky paint and filled in/dabbed paint in, looks much better now and you wont notice it when it's behind some mesh.
Not long to go before you fire her up now mate

Well,
After mucho prep, 2 coats of acid etch primer and 2 coats of satin black, here she is.
Quite pleased as it looks way better than before in my opinion

Funny you say that Si. The Bomber is back on its wheels as of the moment as i knicked the stands to work on the Clio lol.
Looks pretty cool on her wheels, id seriously forgotten what it looked like with all four wheels on the ground.

Cheers dude. Everyone I talk to seems to be getting more excited than me to heart running now it's so close lol.
Jobs left to do:
Refit turbo
Make boost pipe
Make/fit/coat/plumb oil separator.
Wire up Bosch pump (will be done the day of start up)
Get pressure fitting on boost pipe and complete vac system
I have some other odd jobs to do but that's pretty much more or less it to get her started.
By my timescales it should take about another 4 years
