Not really mate.

Struggling to find the interest in the car at the moment to be honest. I have so much work to do on it and am almost wishing id never started. I know it will all be woth it one day, but the cold nights and then general drab time of year isnt helping.

Just cant be arsed right now if im honest.

No excuses, just how i feel with it right now. lol

Mate, I can honestly say I know exactly how you feel!!
I've been without my scoob for nearly a year now. I still have lots to do to finish it. I'm getting there but it just seems so far away from being finished. The fact that its going to be awesome when its finished is what's pushing me on.

Chin up mate, you're not alone

What a thread Frayz

Can I ask you a question about dash flocking?

Im thinking of having mine done.
The passenger air bag, is that just a cover that is on top of the dash or is it attached to the air bag?

cheers for this

Andy

The cover is attatched to the airbag by a series of steel hooks that pass through the cover. When you take the airbag out you will see what i mean. Its easilly removed from the bag to send to the flockers.

I can talk you through it when you do it if need be mate. Its dead easy

Frayz, i seem to remember you got a lightweight battery. Which one did you get and from where/how much??

Also, how much did you front APs cost?

I'm on another round of modding mine, instead of selling. Good times!

Gaz -

Battery was an Oddesey PC680 and available from BOB5 on here. Great price and service.
AP's were purchased from EARS Motorsport, cant remember the exact price if im honest as i had a whole heap of agro with Alcon at the time and a deal was done due to my troublesome issues.

Genuine APs kit with discs, bels, pads, calipers and lines. Also a set of Pagid RS29s as i hated the DS2500's. Approx £1600 IIRC.

Fai17 -

Engine will be built by me to the follow approx spec.

New EJ257 block
New EJ257 sti crank
Wiseco pistons
Carrillo rods
ACL big end bearings
ACL main bearings
OEM head gaskets
ARP 11mm head stud kit
RCM oil pump
New OEM water pump

Dry your eyes, mate. I've just come back from a sales meeting and half the senior management seem to be suffering from acute S.A.D. You'll pick up again in the new year I'm sure.

Alright Frayz,

Been following this thread with interest. When you say Modified STI7 heads, what exactly do you mean?

Ported etc or more?

cheers,
Dave

Does that not depend on the type of piston you use.

I asked Chy about opening up the combustion chamber to suit and he said that the custom Omega Piston that i am using is designed for the 2litre heads

Good spec you have there Frayz and i bet you can't wait to get it done even in this S.A.D period.
