Frayz,

My current ones were part of the APS 8 injector kit I bought second hand. The top and bottom rails are different, as the injector styles are different from top to bottom.

I guess you could ask APS if they sell the bottom rails seperately, but dont hold your breath, as APS customer service does not exist.(IMHO)

Cheers Sy,

Its nuts. I cant seem to find decent AN fuel rails anywhere. I was thinking of buying some ally extrusion and machining my own.
Its not that expensive. Just a bit of work.
Do you know if the SARD rails used on the gobstopper are of OE injector fitment?

Are they available to purchase or are they a special setup for the RCM car?

From memory of asking Matt direct last year, they are rails made by RCMS from an extruded piece of aluminium, tapped, and then fittings wound in. From that comment by Matt, David Wallis bought some extruded tubing from the US and made is own, for relatively little money.

Todays job.

Started the makings of what will be a battery cover and also somewhere for me to cover the wires/relays for the HID kits etc.

Id love to disassemble the entire loom and nip/tuck it but thats just not really viable. So this is what i have come up with.

Folded up from 1mm ally sheet, it will be TIG welded up at the corners, glass blasted and painted. It will clean up the last messy area in the bay.

You not keen on putting the battery in the boot or else where to make room in the bay?

Someone else asked me this,

To be honest mate, the battery is tiny and really isnt in the way in the engine bay. For the sake of running wires to the boot etc, ive nothing to gain other than space... but its not in the way so i dont see the point if you know waht i mean. At only 6kg its not gonna do much for weight distribution either in my lardy newage shell

It lays down and i think without something in its place, the welded in battery tray would look out of place with nothing filling it.

It looks clean and tidy now... ive got a few more ideas yet.

Sorry Mark no, im looking for AN fitment rails, the Perrin/APS are just a push on fitment and come as a complete kit. I just want the rails.

They also wont fit on a spec c manifold without modification due to the bolt holes for the mounting pickups on the rails being different to that of a manifold with tumblers.

Cheers anyway

Not the header tank dude, just an overflow tank.

Its part of the APS FMIC kit as the charge piping runs up that side so a slimmer overflow tank is required.

Frayz, do you know if this tank is available to buy seperately or just as part of the whole kit? :-)

Cheers

Okay guys, my battery/relay cover is done.

Corners welded, smoothed and now with paint. Ive gone for a matte wrinkle black finish to keep it all purposeful and discreet looking. Lots of parts in the bay will end up in this finish.
Its tough to photograph as it looks as though it has a flake to it but anyone that has seen it before will know clean and purposeful it looks.

Drying now and hopefully be, rubber lined and fitted up soon

Yes Kev but mine are top fed. You have side fed. So our rails are completely different.

Its cool, ive designed some rails, just gotta buy some materials and machine them now

Hey guys, the battery/relaty cover is finished.

Paint has dried a nice matte wrinkle finish so i was able to flip it over and trim the inside with 3M backed HD foam sheet. This stuff is very thin high density foam. I put it there to stop the possibility of any short circuits and also to cushion and protect the relays/wires from damage.

Here it is all fitted up with some new stainless hardware
