Rather sad news. She was a rather good actress.

As others have said, it does show how fragile the human head can be. It does make me ponder wether I should wear a helmet the next time I take to the slopes, moreso as I'm a beginner too.

 

Beginner's slopes are even dangerous to professional skiers.

I know someone who had her leg shattered on a beginner's slope; She was a very competent skier who was skiing with a novice.

Another novice further up the slope lost control and crashed into her.
